Teacher Training Programs ACETESOL Certification Program The ACE TESOL Certificate ESL teacher training course with 100 hours of classroom instruction and a 20-hour supervised practicum, is recognized by TESL Canada as a Standard One program. Courses are offered through the year in both full-time (4- The TESOL Diploma Program is a follow-on course to the ACE TESOL Certificate Program consisting of 150 hours of classroom instruction and a 30-hour supervised practicum. This program is offered in part-time sessions over 20 weeks. This program is recognized by TESL Ontario and TESL Canada (Standard Two). Accommodation Options Homestay Many LLI students reside with homestay families during their time in London. Homestay families are carefully screened by a London Language Institute coordinator to ensure that the student will be living in a comfortable, friendly environment. Homestay families are responsible for providing their students with a private furnished bedroom (including bed, desk, closet week) and part-time (11-week) sessions. Homestay Cost: $750.00 per month Other Options* For students who do not wish to reside with a homestay family, other options are available. The City of London

The city of London provides the perfect atmosphere for students learning English as a Second Language. The city is populated by approximately 350,000 residents and is located within a two hour drive of Toronto and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Students can spend their spare time doing many different activities in London. There are museums to visit, many restaurants to try, and great shopping centres. There are also many beautiful parks and walkways along the Thames River, which flows throughout the city.

Full Time, Intensive ESL & University Preparation Programs

Additional Programs Business Program LLI offers business programs focusing on business English and various applied concepts for managerial, or financial purposes. Business programs are offered on a semester basis with start dates in September and January. Specialty short term intensive programs are also offered throughout the year. Summer/Winter Excursion Program 2, 3 and 4 week excursion programs are offered during summer and winter seasons. These programs allow students to combine their ESL studies with various travel excursions. Programs include: • 18 hours of in-class study each week • One full day trip each week. (Trips include Niagara Falls, Toronto and more) • One local activity each week (museums, sporting events, etc.) • Accommodation and meals with a Canadian homestay family • Unlimited local transportation

London Language Institute offers ESL and Academic Preparation programs for students of all English abilities. LLI offers two distinct courses for those who wish to focus on general English studies with an emphasis on conversational practice and another program for those students going to high school, college and university. Full time schedules are 23-30 hours per week in class. London Language Institute is proud to offer a pathway program for students seeking entrance into high school, college and university. LLI has developed a curriculum that prepares students for academic courses taught in English and has relationships with local high schools, colleges and universities across Canada and into the United States. Our 7 level curriculum is offered throughout the year with monthly start dates. Level assessment and student orientation is performed upon a student’s arrival in London. Our curriculum utilizes a mastery learning teaching methodology where students learn in a small classroom setting with the primary focus on language acquisition and usage. In this learning environment students are very involved and active which is the most effective way to learn English.

TOEFL, IELTS and CAEL Preparation London Language Institute offers a TOEFL/ IELTS/CAEL preparation program for intermediate and advanced level students. These programs are offered in the afternoon two times per week from 3:00-6:00 pm.

Note:All fees are in Canadian dollars.All registrations are subject to an administration fee of $100.00. London Language Institute can arrange for airport pickup, accommodation arrangements, and medical insurance upon students’ request. Textbooks and materials are included in tuition fees.

Medical insurance can be purchased for $60 per month.
