TUITION AND FEES Nonresident Tuition and Fees

More than 90 percent of international students received financial assistance/scholarships through the Nonresident Tuition Waiver (NTW) program. Degree-seeking international students who qualify for admission are given consideration for NTW awards, which reduce tuition by $5,300-$7,200, depending on academic achievement. NTW awards are renewable for four years. Many international students work on campus. Continuing students are eligible to apply for more than 100 foundation scholarships after they have finished two semesters. HOWTO APPLY AS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMAND CONDITIONAL ADMISSION English Language and Culture Institute (ELCI) is a full time intensive English language program located just 20 minutes from UW-Superior on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). Students who are academically qualified, but do not meet the UW-Superior English proficiency requirement (TOEFL: 61 / IELTS: 5.5/Duolingo 100) are eligible for conditional admission. Conditionally admitted students can enroll at UW-Superior after they have successfully completed their studies at ELCI. No TOEFL or IELTS or Duolingo is required. More than 2,600 students are enrolled at UW- Superior. Our classes have a 14:1 student-to- faculty ratio. The average class size on campus is 18 students. Students are supported by friendly, professional and experienced staff in the Office of Intercultural Student Success. UW-Superior offers more than 60 student organizations and 19 varsity sports. There are many opportunities to get involved on campus, conduct research, develop leadership skills, take part in internships or join academic and other kinds of clubs. 95% of students are employed or pursuing a graduate degree six months after graduating.
