Pro-Am Operations
Volunteers will assist with the events on Monday AND Pro-Am on Wednesday of Championship week. They will help with registration and distribution of gifts for amateur players, provide directional support for participants, and making sure the players have a memorable experience. Committee is active Monday-Sunday. Volunteers will be responsible for stocking beverages, ice, and snacks to the various locations throughout the course. Requires early mornings and heavy lifting. Committee is active Tuesday-Sunday. Volunteers will help distribute official tournament programs at the main gates and hospitality venues. They will also be responsible for delivering daily pairings guides to hospitality venues and other areas around the golf course. Volunteers will need to sign a golf cart safety waiver. Location Based Operators Committee is active Wednesday-Sunday. This committee is responsible for measuring and recording the location and distance of every shot hit during the tournament using the ShotLink scoring system. A commitment of 3 full days is necessary, one of them being the Wednesday Pro- Am. This committee will have an online training as well as a live training during tournament week with a PGA TOUR official. All training for this committee is mandatory. Volunteers on this committee are assigned to one of three roles: Laser Operators, Tablet Operators & Rovers. Laser Operators : The Laser Operator role is responsible for using a laser rangefinder to track the landing position of shots on and around the fairway. It requires a basic knowledge of the game of golf, as well as a commitment to timeliness, accuracy, and attention to detail. Tablet Operators : The Tablet Operator role is responsible for using a handheld tablet device to plot the ending position of shots. It requires a basic knowledge of the game of golf, as well as a commitment to timeliness, accuracy, and attention to detail. Rovers : The Rover position is responsible for rotating through each of the ShotLink Volunteers positions on a specific golf hole to provide breaks, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed. In some cases, the Rover may serve as a liaison between the ShotLink Truck and ShotLink Volunteers on the assigned hole. The Rover should be an experienced volunteer that has completed the training for each type of ShotLink position, as well as training specific to the Rover position. Committee is active Tuesday-Sunday. Volunteers will be shuttling spectators and players to various locations in and around the golf course via golf cart. This may involve early mornings and late nights. Volunteers must be over 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and sign a golf cart safety waiver. JUNIOR COMMITTEE (Ages 16+) Committee is active Wednesday-Sunday. Volunteers will be assigned a group and will walk with a two-sided standard. They will be responsible for keeping the standard updated, so they should possess a knowledge of golf scoring. Volunteers should be able to walk 18 holes in any weather condition while carrying a 5lb standard and understand golf etiquette. Kids 16 and older are eligible for this committee.

Committee is active the Saturday prior to the Monday after championship week. Volunteers will be assisting with the staging, distribution, and return of the players' courtesy cars. They may also be asked to shuttle players and family. Should be flexible with hours, as the shifts are based on the players' needs. This may involve early mornings and late nights. Volunteers must be over 25 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Volunteers interested in this committee will need a background check. Committee is active Monday-Sunday of tournament week and during Volunteer Training and Uniform Distribution Weekend. Volunteers will be asked to assist in the Uniform and Credential packaging process during the weeks leading up to uniform distribution. On the weekend of volunteer training, volunteers will help the championship staff distribute uniforms and credentials. During championship week, volunteers will be in charge of the operation of Volunteer Headquarters. Duties will include answering volunteer questions, conducting uniform exchanges, assisting meal vendors, and keeping the venue clean. Early mornings will be required for volunteer headquarters. Committee is active the day of the Volunteer Party taking place on Saturday, August 14, 2022. Volunteers will help to plan and execute the Volunteer Party. The duties include greeting volunteers, providing directions and issuing/selling guest wristbands. This committee will be needed the weekend prior to championship week. Committee is active Wednesday-Sunday. The Walking Scorer accompanies a group of up to 3 players in order to keep their score, track specific statistics, and provide real-time >Page 1 Page 2 Page 3
