As we celebrate Easter, we look to the Lamb who suffered, died, and rose again for our eternal salvation. Christ’s perfect sacrifice delivers believers from the slavery of sin, shows us a clear path to salvation and gives us the promise of everlasting life.

In His last earthly message to his disciples, Jesus calls upon believers to change the world through His infinite love and sacrifice. As we faithfully carry out His commandment to share the gospel, we can have unwavering faith in Christ’s promise to be with us forever.

Christ’s love, compassion and forgiveness shines through believers’ attitudes, words, and deeds. Transformation of one’s life by the presence of Christ so that everyone can see his light reflected in actions and acts of kindness.

In Christian symbolism, the square represents the four corners of the earth as well as the four Evangelists. These bands of squares, each square encompassing a cross, is a reminder to us to spread the Good News throughout our lives, wherever we go.

The symbolism of the Cross of Christ superimposed over rays of light reminds us that it is only through the cross that we can reach the light. Regardless of the darkness we find in the world, we will find the Light of Jesus calling us to dwell with Him forever in His Love and Peace.

This gold and white design was inspired by several passages from Scripture, emphasizing the great light and beauty of God’s saving love.

God promises us in the Old Testament that a Messiah will come to save his people – a promise fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus is the living embodiment of God’s Promises – giving us a New Life, not just in this world, but in the next. The band of leaves represent this never-ending New Life in Jesus.

“Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!” is a Paschal Greeting among Christians that originated centuries ago. Brilliant Gold is used in this cross design to signify how dazzled people were who first saw the newly-resurrected Jesus, that they failed to recognize him.
