I have put this together to help you save you time and spare the negative energy that the current Covid environment can often bring in these uncertain times. The following are some simple and effective tools that I give to my clients to help overwhelm. At a glance they may appear too simple, and are often dismissed until they are put well into practice. You will not only feel better, but you will function better, and the ripple effect will touch everyone around you in a beautiful and positive way.

5 STEPS TO OVERCOME OVERWHELM

Breathe! STEP 1 - BREATHE

Find a quiet place Take a deep breath in for the count of 4 Hold your breath for the count of 4 Strong exhale for the count of 4

Hold for the count of 4 Repeat at least 4 rounds

This simple breathing exercise calms the nervous system and allows you to refocus on you rather than your environment. We can't always control what is going on externally, but we can always control what we think and how we behave internally.

Begin a gratitude journal STEP 2 - GRATITUDE

Each day write down 10 things that you are grateful for

Anger, frustration, and overwhelm cannot co-exist with gratitude. The more you can focus on what you are grateful for, and even the smallest blessings in life, your energy will naturally change.

STEP 3 - EXERCISE

Walk Run Stretch Swim Yoga Pilates Dance

We have so many options. Create reasons over excuses. Even if you only have 10 minutes to exercise, do yourself the favour. Motion creates emotion! The more vital you feel, the better your body and mind will feel.

Here's a recipe for my favourite Super-Green Soup STEP 4 - EAT HEALTHY

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 onions 3 sticks celery 1 leek chopped 600ml vegetable Small head of broccoli Handful of kale 200g peas

1 can lentils ¼ cup basil

Heat the oil in a large pan, and cook onion, celery, and leek for a few minutes until soft. Add stock and bring to boil, stir in all the green veges. Reduce heat and simmer 4 minutes. Blend and then return to heat and add lentils. Heat through and enjoy xxx

There is always someone less fortunate that you. If you ain't giving, you ain't living! STEP 5 - BE A BLESSING

Find someone in need, and give It doesn't have to be through money... bake a cake provide clothing/sheets

give flowers send a card make a phone call say sorry forgive love
