On July 1 st , TouchPoint Support Services completed the transition of food services at 10 Presence Health hospitals in the Chicago area. Opening 10 locations in a single week was no small task and required commitment from many dedicated associates across various functional areas. From countless planning calls to site-visits to associate training sessions, the TouchPoint and Presence Health teams rallied to plan a seamless handoff of services. During the opening week, many associates sacrificed time away from their families on the Fourth of July holiday to ensure the openings were a success.

Day one of the transition brought noticeable changes to many of the Presence locations and feedback was positive. Martin Judd, President and CEO of Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center said, “…the transition fromSodexo to TouchPoint has gone very well. The TouchPoint support team is on-site and doing a great job supporting our local food service team. I’ve been in the cafeteria and heard many “positive” comments about the improved food selections, the visual presentation and most importantly, the quality of the food in the café.” Now, with the go-live week behind us, we have time to reflect on the hard work that went in to making it happen and our newly forged partnership. “TouchPoint once again demonstrated a collaborative approach across the regions and divisions in order to deliver a relatively flawless transition of these 10 hospitals. Relatively flawless doesn’t mean that there were not bumps along the way, it means that whenever we came upon one of those bumps, our team along with the Presence team, seamlessly navigated over them,” said Regional Vice President Todd Head.

starting off at SQUARE ONE ... THREE

July 1 st brought more than just a switch to TouchPoint as all patient dining services were also transitioned to Three Square. With this move, Presence Health became part of an Ascension-wide roll-out of the program. As part of this initiative, all Presence ministries received updated china and new, branded carts.

When it comes to our cafés, our culinary and retail teams are pros. At all of our Presence Health hospital cafés, our team identified many opportunities to elevate the guest experience. From new signage to providing more food, beverage and snack choices. The team sought to create an environment where caregivers and guests can relax, re-energize, restore their spirits and enjoy a great meal with friends, family and coworkers. revamping RETA I L

Spreading Compassion with the CULTURE COUNCIL

With all the activity that comes along with openings, culture can often fall by the wayside. But at TouchPoint, we’re all about our culture of compassion at every point of human contact – even when we’re transitioning accounts. For the Presence Health openings, we deployed a special group of support team members, called the Culture Council, to focus on building our culture

during opening week. One member of the Culture Council was stationed in each Presence Health hospital. Their job was to help keep morale high amongst associates, build relationships with hospital staff, anticipate patient needs and lend a helping hand where needed. Culture Council members made an immediate impact by simply being available to pitch in.

I really enjoyed getting out of the office and into an account for a few days. It was fulfilling to be a part of an opening and see the immediate impact I was able to make. I made awesome, authentic connections with people who were initially apprehensive to work for TouchPoint. That’s what made my heart full. — Lindsay Shelby CULTURE COUNCIL MEMBER

A Great Start WELCOMING OUR NEW ASSOCIATES TO THE TOUCHPOINT FAMILY

JOINING THE TOUCHPOINT TEAM IS MORE THAN JUST COMING IN TO WORK AND TAKING HOME A PAYCHECK. We want our associates to feel like they’re part of our family from day one. Prior to go-live, nine TouchPoint start-up captains were tasked with ensuring our newest team members received a warm welcome. Our start-up captains passed out swag bags and coordinated team meals each day during transition week. They also made sure that every new associate understood and felt the TouchPoint culture of love and compassion. One start-up captain, Dustin Brown, took it a step further by renting out a Kona truck for the environmental services and food services teams at AMITA St. Francis Hospital. He wanted them to be able to take a break and enjoy shaved ice in the sun. The event was welcomed by Vice President of Operations Pablo Castillo. Our openings were a success, in part, because of our start-up captains who seamlessly integrated our new associates into the TouchPoint culture.

- our - START-UP TEAM celebrating

We’d like to recognize a few, very special associates who stepped up to lead the charge during the transition. They dedicated their time, energy and passion, some travelled across state lines, and a few even volunteered to help from other Compass Group sectors. These individuals are the reason for our success and we’d like to celebrate their efforts and hard work.
