WHO ARE WE? The three of us started Flamingo Paperie in 2017 having had over 60 years combined experience in the greeting card and direct selling industry. Our mission is three-fold: 1 To manufacture and market superb design-led greeting cards, gift wrap, stationery and craft kits. 2 To provide a platform for our many talented artists. 3 To empower our Par tners to build their own businesses through marketing our products. We don’t sell through the high street - our network of Par tners is able to access areas the traditional retail trade can’t reach.

As a business, we are focused on making our time on this planet as eco friendly as we can, including only using vegetable- based inks, FSC environmentally- accredited paper and sustainable biodegradable packaging, wherever possible. Worldwide donations by the charity and its affiliates to cancer charities, children’s hospices and over 1,000 other charities exceed £1.9 million. My Flamingo Paperie business has really flourished this year and I put that down to two main factors. The first factor which has helped my business grow is the product range I am able to offer my customers.They love the fact that the cards are blank and because there are new designs added 5 times a year, there is always something new to offer even the most frequent card buyer.With their strong eco credentials, they appeal to a wide range of customers. The craft kits have been a real bonus this season, attracting many new customers to my stand at Christmas events, especially when my new sales assistants Roger and Bryan are on duty. Secondly, I work with a fantastic group of people, all running our businesses independently-together. There is always someone to give you

advice, support and even a virtual hug if required. People work at all different levels and in the team we have both long-established and brand new Partners all working towards building a successful business. Everyone is important and everyone has something to offer. I love working with the team, helping them to develop their own businesses.The support we receive from head office is second to none and help is always only a phone call/ email away. I really love the flexibility of the Flamingo Paperie businesses as it means I can sell in many different ways. I can also organise my work schedule to fit around other family commitments and activities in my life. Even on my days off, my website and stock baskets are always working.
