MAKING MEMORIES AS A FAMILY During a Road Trip!
The summer season is just around the corner, which means that the kids are getting ready to be out of school and vacation season can commence! One of the biggest weekends for travel in our country is Memorial Day weekend, so it’s no surprise that the Friday before Memorial Day has officially been named National Road Trip Day. While I can’t imagine I’ll be taking a road trip this year due to the cost of fuel, I still remember a family road trip from a few years ago. I think it is safe to consider everyone in my family a gearhead. We absolutely love cars and anything else with an engine that vrooms. Since we all love cars so much, we decided that we were going to drive to the northern part of the state as a family. We weren’t going to all drive in one car, though. We planned to take our individual vehicles so everyone could enjoy driving along the coast. I rode my motorcycle while my husband and one of our sons drove a Mazda Miata, and our other son drove his own car. We decided that we were going to travel to Shelter Cove on the Lost Coast. We had gone there for a previous trip where we drove an RV and really enjoyed it. We loved it so much that we decided to go back a second time with multiple vehicles. While the destination is the reason for the vacation, we really enjoyed our drive up. For part of the drive, we rode along the California coast, which was stunningly beautiful. There’s nothing like driving right beside the ocean. Portions of the drive required us to ride on twisty and curvy roads through the mountains. We loved driving on these roads. It’s a challenge for those driving sports cars and motorcycles, but we were certainly up for it. While our stay in Shelter Cove was enjoyable, we decided to drive a little farther to Ferndale to enjoy the sights of a place we had never been before. It’s a cute little historic town with plenty of artists and shops. I walked around town and enjoyed everything it had to offer, while my son and husband went for a drive down Highway 36. While I do enjoy riding my motorcycle, I needed a little break. Ferndale was the perfect place to relax.
I’ve been riding motorcycles for the past 12 years, and that was the longest ride I’ve taken. We all had headsets on so we could communicate with each other throughout the drive. That’s one of the most enjoyable aspects of road trips. It’s the shared connection of doing something you enjoy while being around people you love. It helps us to stay close as a family. If you plan it right, you can go on a road trip where everyone can experience something that excites them. As we enter the summer season, I hope you all can get out and enjoy some time with your family doing something you love. It doesn’t have to be a road trip or a vacation either. There
are plenty of fun and exciting things to do in our community that everyone in your family can enjoy.

Watch Your Smile Transform
With Invisalign
For the past few years, camera and photo filters have become incredibly popular. Filters on social media platforms like Snapchat and Facebook allow users to see what they would look like with different colored hair or eyes, whiter teeth, and just about anything else you could imagine. While most of these filters are just for fun, some have the ability to see what you would look like if you were to make other cosmetic changes. Many have wondered how using Invisalign would change their smiles. With the rapid development of photo filters, we’re now able to show you what you would look like after using Invisalign. You no longer have to imagine what your smile would look like and hope that your estimation is accurate. Now, you can just take a picture to get a better idea of your results without ever starting treatment. At this point, you’re probably wondering where you can find the filter and how it works. Finding it is as simple as it gets. Scan the QR code attached to this article with the camera on your cellphone or tablet. You go to an Invisalign web page where you will be asked to take a selfie. In your selfie, you’ll want to make sure that your smile is large enough to see the full effect of Invisalign.
After you’ve taken your picture, the web page will process it and apply the filter so you can see what you would look like with Invisalign correction. Your processed picture will have a before and after adjuster so you can really compare the differences. You will also have an option to provide some
information about yourself and any questions you may have regarding cost or how the Invisalign process works. You can even request an appointment directly with our office after seeing your transformed smile. There are many benefits that come with using Invisalign. If you’ve ever wanted to try it or are curious after seeing your smile transform in your picture, give our office a call. We would love to help improve your smile!

Picking the Perfect Souvenir
A way to preserve or share a piece of your trip is to bring home a souvenir, but choosing a souvenir isn’t always a stress-free experience. How do you pick the perfect souvenir and not just the first thing you see in a tourist shop? Here are some tips for picking a truly meaningful gift for yourself or your loved ones.

Purchase a handicraft.
Handicrafts — items created by local artisans — are awesome souvenirs! But make sure you buy where artisans actually sell their own goods, such as an open-air market. Unfortunately, while some popular tourist shops may sell “locally made goods,” many souvenirs
Who are you buying for? What are your recipient’s interests, or what do they spend the most time doing? If you’re buying for yourself and enjoy coffee, you might buy a local coffee blend to enjoy from home. However, if your recipient doesn’t enjoy coffee or rarely drinks it, that type of gift might not mean much to them. Is it legal to bring home? Whether you’re traveling domestically or internationally, there are many regulations that affect which souvenirs you can bring home. Even if you find the item in a tourist
