Welcoming Someone who puts forth an effort to make others feel comfortable. This is some- one who reaches out and accepts others, especially those who are new, and makes them feel part of the group. Inclusive Someone who invites others to meetings, events, etc. that might otherwise not attend. This is someone who really considers other people and doesn ’ t want any- one to feel left out. The University has a stated commitment to diversity. Diversity can take many forms. Being inclusive makes this all work and is a great value to the University. Knowledgeable Someone who knows a lot about something and is willing to share with others. This is someone who has developed knowledge and mad skills and uses them to help us all be more successful. This knowledge could be technical, process relat- ed, or even just based in how and why the University works the way it does. The key to this is the person ’ s willingness to share this knowledge for the betterment of the workplace and University. Responsive Someone who is receptive to others ’ needs and takes action to assist. This is someone who meets the other person where they are, attempts to understand their needs, and goes as far as they can to help. Proud Someone who believes in our shared purpose and continues to support it. (We are proud Wildcats!)

Welcoming
Andrew Caveness, Connection Card Office Many times, the Connection Card office can be the first experience that many first time students/parents coming to the CWU campus will interact with. Andrew and his staff are the exemplary welcoming committee for both students and employees that visit his office. All customers are welcomed and the staff always finds ways to help anyone who comes through their door. Sometimes its printing a connection card and helping with meal plans, but many other times they are troubleshooting topics that fall outside of their immediate responsibilities. Whether it is helping a family locate a building on campus or alleviating someone's anxiety with their ac- count; Andrew and his staff always make sure the person in front of them is heard, understood and provide the answers and solutions to whatever issue is at hand. This past year, Andrew's office always made themselves available during the cam- pus closures and found creative ways and solutions to continue on with the excel- lent customer service that they have always provided. I want to commend Andrew on all he has done and provides for our campus each day. His professionalism and experience are truly irreplaceable traits and we are thankful to have him on our team!!

Erin Slaughter, Human Resources Erin Slaughter is such a joy to work with and her knowledge base is impressive which is why I nominated her for this category! She and the front desk team are the front line interactions with our office and she does such a great job of provid- ing employees and our business partners with up - to - date, accurate information. She works as part of the HR Web team and also helps provide input of changes that not only benefit our team, but the university at large. She is friendly, under- standing, compassionate and makes our office a better place because of who she is. Thank you for all you do! Lacy Lampkins, SURC Accounting Lacy has brought a level of stable leadership to the SURC accounting and the S&A committee meetings that is very much appreciated. She has gained knowledge in the accounting and various rules around S&A that certainly helps those she serves. She interacts professionally with those around her and consistently offers to help with her skills and knowledge.
Way to go Lacy, you are an important part of the team! And we are a better team through your participation.
Missy Davis, Human Resources Missy is one of the most knowledgeable and welcoming people I know. She is al- ways one to go above and beyond to help others out and make working together a fun experience. She is always thinking of ways to make working relationships better, working more efficiently and strategically. I will miss working with you and our collaborations. : - )

Kathy Johnson, Human Resources My coworker, Kathy Johnson, is a jewel of an employee who is kind, compassion- ate, and extremely knowledgeable. She creates custom online courses and serves as the HR lead for the ELM implementation, to name a few recent ventures. Since learning how to create online courses using Rise and Storyline Articulate, Kathy has helped numerous groups create quality courses specific to CWU. These include:
• CWU Police - Emergency Preparedness at CWU • Faculty - Faculty Onboarding Online Course • Student employees - Student Employee Onboarding Course • Students - Discrimination and Harassment Course • Department chairs - Supervising for Chairs • Supervisors - Performance and Conflict Management • Temp employees - Onboarding for Temporary/Hourly Employees
In addition, Kathy is currently working on custom coursework for Anderson Parks and Leah Valverde. The more Kathy builds, the better the courses become. She takes the time to seek out and learn cool, new features she can incorporate into the courses she creates. The final products are top quality and fill a gap that existed at CWU. Besides creating courses, Kathy is currently the HR lead for the Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) implementation. Her role is huge. She started by researching what other universities had documented about their own ELM implementations. She enlisted feedback from CWU key players to help in planning and decision mak- ing. Now she attends daily meetings with both technical and content - oriented peo- ple, enters information into >Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page 5 Page 6 Page 7 Page 8 Page 9 Page 10 Page 11 Page 12 Page 13 Page 14 Page 15 Page 16 Page 17 Page 18 Page 19 Page 20 Page 21 Page 22 Page 23 Page 24 Page 25 Page 26 Page 27 Page 28 Page 29 Page 30 Page 31 Page 32 Page 33 Page 34 Page 35 Page 36 Page 37 Page 38 Page 39
