THE ROLE

Bidwells have a rare opportunity for an ambitious surveyor to join their highly regarded Oxford Business Space Agency team. Whether you are recently qualified or are seeking progression to Associate level or beyond, they would like to speak with you about the opportunities they could provide. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Many of the best deals Bidwells do for our clients happen as a result of their creative, proactive and joined-up approach. You will be given the autonomy to manage your own instructions and work but a typical week may be made up of the following: • Managing a portfolio of agency instructions. • Advising clients of appropriate terms for the purchase, letting and sale of properties, to ensure sites are realistically appraised and all ‘angles’ assessed. • Preparing sales and marketing particulars and selecting successful purchasers/tenants. • Marketing instructions and negotiating appropriate terms. • Building close working relationships with key clients in order to maximise opportunities for repeat work. • Promoting Bidwell’s services and winning agency instructions. Bidwells do not seek to limit their most creative people to purely letting agency work but en - courage an all-round approach which could include: • Funding and acquiring business space. Bidwells are seeking a surveyor who is building their career and keen to make a bold move. Strong experience in an agency capacity is essential and experience in our markets and would be beneficial, but support and mentoring will provided to get you up to speed with their mar - kets. A hybrid working pattern has been adopted at Bidwells which will include a blend of office and home working. Though it is not key to have been transacting in the region, a good knowledge of Oxfordshire and surrounding area is imperative. This is an opportunity to work in one of the UK’s fastest growing economic areas with some of the UK’s most established and interesting property clients. This will provide an agile and flexi - ble working environment which isn’t London centric. • Development appraisal and feasibility analysis. • Disposal advice and negotiation with purchasers. • Tenant targeting. • Investment creation. BUSINESS SPACE AGENCY, OXFORD CASE STUDIES

THE SHERARD BUILDING, OXFORD SCIENCE PARK Bidwells’ client, Oxford Science Enterprises, entered into a 5-year sub lease with Exact Sciences Innovation. Exact took the first and second floors totalling 12,692 sq ft of fitted office and laboratory space. 5-year sub-lease with break at Yr 2.5 between Bidwells’ client, Oxford Sciences Innovation and T-Cypher Bio Limited. 7,300 sq ft of Fitted Labs and Offices Completed May 2021

ZEUS BUILDING, HARWELL SCIENCE AND INNOVATION CAMPUS Bidwell’s client, The Harwell Science & Innovation Campus Limited Partnership, entered into a 10-year lease with Vaccitech (the vaccine company behind the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine). The five units total 31,000 sq ft of new office and laboratory space. An additional 10-year lease for three other units (30,000 sq ft) completed in November 2021 between Harwell and Astroscale.

UNITS 1-3 GENESIS BUILDING, HARWELL SCIENCE AND INNOVATION CAMPUS Bidwell’s client, Kadans Science Partner, Bidwell’s client, The Harwell Science & Innovation Campus Limited Partnership, entered into a 10-year lease with Oxford Nanopore. The three units total 22,600 sq ft of new office and laboratory space.

UNITS 29 & 30 THE QUADRANT, ABINGDON SCIENCE PARK Bidwell’s client, Kadans Science Partner, entered into a 10-year lease with Sense Biodetection Limited. Units 29 & 30 at the new ‘Science Quadrant’ on the Abingdon Science Park comprises 9,895 sq ft of new office and laboratory space. l
