LA MIRADA CAMPUS PLANS MO VE AHEAD COMPLETED PROJECT SCHEDULED FOR 1956

Throughout the West BIBLE INSTITUTE HOUR MON., WED., FRI. 8:30 A.M.

Dr. Samuel H. Sutherland, President of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, and Mr. Ray A. Myers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIOLA, look over the plans for the new La Mirada Campus site. Fifty acres will be carefully utilized with room for future expansion. Mr. William C. Ullrich, A.I.A., designed this special relief map of the new BIOLA Campus in La Mirada. Final blueprints are-now being drafted, with ground-breaking anticipated late this year. "We must live as though Christ were coming back today, but plan as though He might not come for the next generation," a great Christian leader once said. This fact is close to each of our hearts in preparation for BIOLA's much-needed program of expansion. When the Bible Institute of Los Angeles moved into its present burldings, the founding directors of the school had the same courageous vision which is necessary for this day in which we live. Now God has shown us that we must be prepared for the oncoming tidal wave of students within the next few years. Should Christ tarry, there will be as much as a two to three hundred per cent increase in enrollment in BIOLA's training program. This then is the reason for the la Mirada campus. Available land adjoining the development site will be used for subdivision and there homes will be erected by Myers Brothers Construction Company. It is the desire of the school that this area may be a definite Christian center, and that many of God's people will choose to live there. We are trusting the lord to guide in every phase of the campaign. While the necessary three million dollars seem like a large sum of money, yet with God, nothing is impos– sible. We are asking the lord's people, for the lord's money, for the lord's work. Surely, as He has guided so wondrously and faithfully for the nearly half cen– tury of B10LA's history, He will not fail us today.
