Established in 2012, Lefrik started designing urban bags, backpacks and travel essentials using the highest quality eco-friendly fabrics made out of recycled plastic PET bottles. We design to solve travel and city commuting problems by providing the most fashionable and functional bags for the modern digital nomad. Every time you buy a Lefrik product you are helping to reduce plastic waste from landfills and the CO2 of the planet. The production of recycled polyester PET uses 2/3 less energy and about 90% less water than production of virgin polyester.

Our products are designed in Spain and ethically manufactured in Asia.

We make our products in Asia because is where mainly all the plastic waste is accumulated and where we find the best techniques in making polyester out of recycled plastic PET Bottles

Cuando compras un producto Lefrik, estás ayudando a reducir los desechos plásticos de los vertederos y el CO2 del planeta. La producción de poliéster reciclado utiliza 2/3 menos energía y aproximadamente un 90%menos de agua que la producciónde poliéster virgen.

By 2020 we will start working with 1% for the planet . Their belief is that because companies profit from the resources they take from the earth, they should protect those resources. We will donate 1% of the total amount of our yearly income to this foundation .

Our main challenge will be to design & implement a more conscious logistic strategy by 2020. This will help us reduce our carbon footprint.

Product Goals:

Achieve full product circularity .

The 100% recycled backpack: we are working on recycled trimmings to achieve the 100% upcycled backpack avoiding the use of natural resources.

Para 2020 empezaremos a trabajar con 1% for the planet , una organización internacional que cree que las empresas que se benefician de los recursos de la tierra, deberían también protegerlos. Por eso, donaremos el 1% de la facturación total a esta fundación.

- Nuestro principal desafío será diseñar e implementar una estrategia logística más consciente para 2020, lo que nos ayudará a reducir nuestra huella de carbono en el planeta.

Objetivos de producto:

- Lograr una economía circular .

- Una mochila 100% reciclada : estamos trabajando en conseguir que nuestras fornituras sean recicladas para obetener una mochila que no utilice ningún material virgen.

Our supply factory has been audited by SEDEX and has passed the SMETA 4 pillars in ethical practices.

We make sure we follow an ethical code of conduct:

Developing an internal code of conduct and CSR plan.

Checking past audits and asking to see the audit reports.

Working with a limited number of factories and try to develop strong long-term working relationships. Visit the factories and conduct inspections with a health and safety checklist. Discussing with the factory management on what is a reasonable lead time. Making sure we are giving them enough time. Avoiding last minute changes. If issues are found in a factory we source from, we work with the factory to remediate and make improvements rather than ceasing production.

Trabajamos con un número limitado de fábricas e intentamos desarrollar fuertes relaciones laborales a largo plazo. Visitamos e inspeccionamos las fabricas asegurándonos que cumplen las medidas de seguridad y de calidad sanitaria. Acordamos con la gerencia de la fábrica los plazos de ejecución más razonables, asegurándonos de que les estamos dando tiempo suficiente y evitando cambios de última hora. Si encontramos problemas en una fábrica con la que producimos, trabajamos con ellos para solventar y crear mejoras en lugar de cesar la producción.

Lefrik was born in 2012 as an online shop with the aim of reaching customers worldwide. In 2013 we opened our flagship store in iconic neighbourhood Malasaña in Madrid.

Today, we are globally available through our website and in stockist in Europe, US, South America, Japan and Russia.
