Chiro1Source Helps Raise $300,000 for Kids in Need What Happens in Vegas Doesn’t Stay in Vegas

2022 JAN

A few months ago, I walked into the MGM

love an outdoor recreation area with basketball courts and a soccer field. A safe place where the kids could play without worrying about the cartels.’”

Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. I wasn’t there to gamble — I was there to learn! I’d bought a ticket to the Make Money Matter conference from THRIVE that was scheduled for the next day. THRIVE is one of my favorite entrepreneurship organizations. Their speakers are successful business owners, but they aren’t just about the money. They believe that giving should be a key part of entrepreneurship. A good example is Tom’s, which gives away a pair of shoes for every pair it sells.

Those kids had my heart already. But Cole wasn’t done with his story.

“They also told us that they could use an on-site clinic staffed by a doctor a few days a week. Right now, the nearest clinic is 45 minutes away, so kids who get sick end up suffering through it rather than getting treatment,” he said.

As soon as Cole opened the floor to donations, dozens of hands shot into the air, including mine!

Chiro1Source pledged $1,000 to help the orphanage, and within 20 minutes, the entrepreneurs and speakers had donated $200,000 total! It was an amazing thing to see at a business conference. Usually at conferences, speakers are focused on pitching their products and services — not giving their earnings away. Later that day, Tim Sykes took the stage. He’s a penny stock trader notorious for turning less than $13,000 into more than $1.5 million by day trading in college. He was so moved by everyone’s generosity that he pledged to donate $100,000 on the spot through his charity. I couldn’t believe it. A gift of $300,000 will be life-changing for those kids in Mexico. It will cover their recreation area, clinic, and more! I’m proud that Chiro1Source was a part of it, and I’m looking forward to all the ways we’ll help make 2022 better for our community this year. Of course, we’ll keep you updated on the orphanage’s progress in the newsletter. After all, you helped make this donation possible by shopping with us!

The last THRIVE event I attended inspired me to build more charity work into Chiro1Source’s business model, and you’ve been reading about it in the newsletter ever since. I expected to learn more tips about building my business and making an impact on the community at the Vegas conference. What I didn’t expect is that it would turn into a fundraiser!

When THRIVE founder Cole Hatter walked out on stage, he told us a story.

He started by reminding us that he and his wife use profits from their business to sponsor an orphanage in Mexico. They pay for all of the food and supplies the orphanage needs. Usually, they do this by themselves, but since this was going to be the last THRIVE event of its kind, they decided to ask the “tribe” for help, too. “We went to the missionaries who run the orphanage and we asked them, ‘If money was no object, what would you need to benefit the kids here?’” Cole told the crowd. “They said, ‘We’d

Cheers to 2022,

3 AREAS TO FOCUS ON Is there anything more popular right now than the superhero movies produced by Marvel and Disney? The franchise brings in hundreds of millions — sometimes billions — of dollars per movie and has catapulted its stars to new levels of fame. Not only did these actors reach superhero levels of fame, but they also got their bodies into superhero shape. Want to Exercise Like an Avenger?

MEET TH KEEPS JO Nick Davies Chiro1Sourc

Hey folks, it’s Josh here! I want to introduce you to someone special: my business coach, Nick Davies. I started working with Nick through ProAdvisor Coach several years ago, and we meet regularly to talk about my mindset, challenges, and goals. His advice has been a huge driver behind Chiro1Source’s success! Nick trained under Tony Robbins, and before that, he worked in financial services for 20 years. He’s savvy about money, but his real goal is to help business owners find happiness, success, and purpose in life.

This was not an overnight change. Even Dave Bautista, who played Drax in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films and was a former professional wrestler, had to undergo an extreme training regimen to prepare to film the movies.

While various diets and exercises were involved, almost all the actors have focused on these three things to get into superhuman shape.

MARTIAL ARTS It might seem like common sense that actors who portray superheroes would practice martial arts to prepare for their movies, but they mostly use stunt doubles for any action scenes. Instead, many Marvel actors practice various forms of martial arts to get into shape for their roles. In fact, Scarlett Johansson trained extensively in mixed martial arts as she prepared for her role as Black Widow. The late Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa in various Marvel movies, had a background in martial arts before landing the role. Afterward, he expanded on his training even more by practicing capoeira, karate, kung fu, and jiujitsu. In addition to this, Michael B. Jordan, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Pratt all used boxing to train for their roles. CARDIO Whether it was running, swimming, cycling, or something else, nearly every actor who played a Marvel superhero incorporated cardio into their workout routine. Pratt took his cardio to the

“I fell into working at big banks when I was young, and it took me a long time to start asking myself, ‘What is happiness about? Where do I want to go? What do I want to be?’” Nick says. “[Back then] I thought that the only people who were passionate or happy in their jobs were athletes playing golf or football.” Eventually, Nick realized he could be happy in his work, too — by leaving banking to become a coach! Today, he helps people like me find that same fulfillment. I love hearing his

STRENGTH TRAINING While all Marvel actors used strength training to build

muscle, not all of their exercises required machinery. Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, credits pullups and pushups for getting her in shape and making her stronger. On the other hand, Chris

Hemsworth used a lot of core exercises like bear crawls and planks.

perspective because it’s so different from mine. He was born in England and has lived all over the world. He’s also a certified health coach and brings things like healthy eating and martial arts into his business lessons.

Share Your Feedback to Boost Sales in Your Clinic

If you’ve received the 2022 Chiro1Source catalog, you might have noticed a change: There are no prices in the catalog itself. Instead, we’ve attached them on a separate price sheet. This was a strategic decision that can help you sell more products in your clinic. A CHANGE TO THE CATALOG We’ve noticed that many chiropractors don’t sell our products directly to patients because they don’t have the space or time to set up displays in their clinics. But even those folks would like extra money from direct sales — which is where our new catalog comes in.

“If you think about it, the essence of coaching is compressing time,” Nick says. “People are in a place where they want to do better, but they’re just meandering along. With a coach, you can get there quicker and dream higher, bigger, and taller. It’s amazing what you can achieve!” Nick helps entrepreneurs at every stage, from those just starting out to business owners running multimillion-dollar companies. He used the holistic AAA Approach to help me strategize, create an action plan, and stick to it. “It’s important to have someone there to give you that support to get you to the next level. Maybe it’s a coach or maybe just someone who keeps you honest and tells it to you as it is with a bit of compassion,” he says.

Now that it’s price-free, you can keep a copy in your waiting area and use it to sell patients the products they need without keeping physical merchandise in the clinic. Not only does this help save space and time, but patients can also browse the catalog on their own and order from you without ever seeing our wholesale pricing. ANOTHER WAY TO BOOST YOUR SALES Our team has another smart sales technique in the works: pre-created video advertisements. Each quarter, Chiro1Source will put together a video reel showcasing hot items, sales pitches from chiropractors at top-selling clinics, and holiday specials — all geared toward inspiring your patients to buy directly from you.

If you want to learn more about Nick and the AAA Approach, email [email protected]. You’ll be surprised how much he can help!

We’ll send each new content library on a jump drive that you can easily play on a TV set in your waiting room. We’ll also include subtitles so you can mute the TV if you’d like. These premade video reels will eliminate the time and effort it takes to educate patients and provide you with a fabulous salesperson. GIVE BACK WITH EVERY PURCHASE The final change we’re considering is a new giving initiative! Each quarter, we’ll choose a product from our catalog and make a donation for every item sold. WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK! Would you try our pre-created video advertisements? Do you think the new catalog format is helpful? Would you be more likely to buy a product if it led to a donation? We’d love to know! The video and giving concepts are still in development, so your feedback can help us fine-tune them. To share your thoughts, you can call our office, text Josh at 252.361.5303, or email him at [email protected].

GO BRANDLESS! It’s Back and Better Than Ever

Companies like Warby Parker have built a powerful customer following for creating direct-to-consumer products that slash prices by cutting out the middleman. Now, Brandless is doing the same thing for small, everyday purchases. When you buy peanut butter, you’re not just buying the product — you’re also buying the brand attached to it, along with its costs of distributing and warehousing, plus retail space. By eliminating what co-founder and CEO Tina Sharkey calls a “brand tax,” she realized Brandless could significantly cut down the costs for small products that people bought every day. When Sharkey and veteran entrepreneur Ido Leffler came up with the concept of Brandless, it immediately caught fire. They raised over $16 million in November 2016,

and at launch, received over $50 million in venture capital from New Enterprise Associates, Google Ventures, and others. However, their business model didn’t sustain itself forever — Sharkey stepped down as CEO in May 2019 after friction between her and lead investor SoftBank Vision Fund. By February 2020, Brandless

That’s when Utah-based digital marketing exec Ryan Treft entered the picture. He’s the new CEO, and his vision has, thus far, helped make the consumer’s “quality to price valued product” daydream a reality. “It’s not about racing other brands to the bottom of being the cheapest, because that’s where people compromise on the quality, the ingredients,” Treft said. His new leadership promises to uphold Brandless’ previous commitments to keep all its products free from 400 potentially harmful ingredients, including parabens, sulfates, and synthetic dyes. For a new “brand” that attracted a lot of attention back when it was in its early stages, Brandless is certainly back to the top with its newer product lines in personal care. They’ve received great reviews and attention across platforms. Congrats for fighting your way back, Brandless!

had shut down and laid off 90% of its workforce, leaving only a few to manage open orders.

BRANDLESS IS THRIVING AGAIN, NEVERTHELESS.

When Brandless shut down, they cited their struggle with fierce competition and business model inviability in the direct-to-consumer market. Part of the problem was that Brandless simply wasn’t sustainable in the way Sharkey and Leffler originally hoped.
