Comparison: Fair Elections Foundation’s Singular Focus Versus Competitors: Our non-partisan positioning and our narrow focus on fair elections sets us apart from our "competitors" Despite their efforts and a few successful court cases, other organizations which aim to improve election integrity have not moved the U.S closer to restoring the rea lit y of fair elections in the U .S. For D etails on each organization , see next page

Details on Competing Non-Profit Organizations 1. Public Interest Legal Foundation Founded in 2012, it is a law firm that ostensibly focuses on Election Integrity. However, the scope of its legal efforts has often focused on peripheral election issues. For example, recent legal actions include the following: • Major effort to overturn a Maryland County Board of Education decision to allow minor children the right to vote in school board elections • Backed an effort to overturn a California law that requires 501(c)3 organizations to disclose names of donors. • Opposed Biden’s appoin tment of Justin Levitt to be the White House Senior Advisor for Democracy and Voting Rights. Note: Efforts like these, however valid one might view them, are reactive. More important, we believe, would be applying proactive pressure on every state legislature to establish best practices that ensure election access, election security, and election integrity. 2. Got Freedom? Focus is on the influence of Social Networks on the electoral process. It also highlights problems with past elections (especially the most recent Presidential Election.) Has no concrete action plan to restore integrity for future elections. Positions itself to appeal to Conservative voters. The Fair Elections Foundation believes that to achieve Election Integrity an organization must not be perceived to have any agenda other than the fairness of elections. 3. National Election Defense Coalition Although this organization should be commended for its support of paper ballots as a back-up to electronic vote processing, it has no bi-partisan credibility. For example, the top Council members featured on its site’s home page are Hollywood celebrities widely viewed as left wing--Alyssa Milano, Alec Baldwin, Robert Di Nero, and Glenn Close. 4. True the Vote Founded in 2009 as an offshoot of a Texas Tea Party organization, the organization’s history of association with conversative organizations and the Republican Party has made it impossible to rebrand itself as anything other than partisan organization. Details on Competing Non-Profit Organizations, Continued… 5. Common Cause

It is largely perceived as a left-of-center organization Involved in many causes. Election integrity is only one of many. Moreover, its focus on elections has been more directed at the goal of making it easier to vote — not to prevent cheating. FEAP Principles call for a balanced focus on both: Accessibility and Access. 6. Landmark Legal Foundation Has been around since the late 1980’ s. Known for backing a variety of Conservative causes — only some of its activities have been related to Election Integrity. Well known in Conservative circles due to its relationship with the late radio talk-show host, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News television talk-show host, Mark Levin. 7. The Voter Integrity Project The group’s efforts are mostly centered on researching previous elections — exposing deficient voting practices and addressing fraud that has previously occurred. They have enlisted well-credentialed academics and research staff.
