Crown Lodge is a rustic romantic cabin, great for summer weddings, but equally welcoming in the winter months. The Lodge has been styled with simple Scandinavian features on the outside offering a warm cosy natural interior.

Crown lodge is located only 1 mile from the village of Wye

(Voted one of the Villages to live - Times Newspaper).

We are licensed in two areas.

The Gazebo and Woodland area

A traditional crafted thatched Lodge, sited in the Woodland area

at the end of the Tree Lined Avenue.

The Warm stylish Lodge

Perfect for winter weddings offering a warm interior.

We have a special indoor room offering ceiling to floor glass doors, bringing in the natural light and has outward views of our stunning trees along with a sparkling Ceiling to add romance.

The Lodge

The Lodge has been styled with simple Scandinavian features offering a cosy natural interior, ready for you to add your own style and finishing touches.

The Main Lodge is one large area and an additional extra side room that opens up with byfold doors making a perfect chill out area, or Band / Disco area, your choice.

Our main room can easily seat 80-90 for a wedding breakfast with an additional extra 40-50 evening guests.

Drinks Reception

Our south facing lawns and Terrace with views across the Kent coast are the perfect place to serve relaxed and stylish drinks.

Pimms ’O’ Clock, Peach Bellinis, Mojitos, Rhubarb Gins, Wheelbarrow of Beers your choice

We offer drinks packages, full staffing, a fully stocked bar, and quirky extras, to make it fun.

Our Bar

Our beautiful rustic Bar is fully stocked and open throughout the whole day.

We stock all branded drinks and offer a selection of artisan producers from Kent.

Just let us know what your guests like to drink and we will make sure we have plenty of stock.

So if you like Cider, Gin, Ale Dark Rum, it’s not a problem.

We have lots of props and can offer wheelbarrows for Beers, Gin Bars, Pimp your Prosecco.

Notes for Bookings

We sometimes have cancellations and if you are able to have your wedding with short notice, we will offer you discount, we will advertise these on Social Media or please contact us for details.

We can accommodate up to 80-90 guests for the ceremony outside or inside and the same for a wedding Breakfast and further guests for the evening to a total guest number of 140

If you wish to have your ceremony at Crown Lodge let us know and we will book this for you with the Kent Registration Services. Your date and time of marriage are guaranteed so don’t worry you do not need to confirm the availability of a Registrar before you book with us. An appointment will be made for you to meet and discuss your arrangements with a member of the Kentish Ceremonies Team, who will guide you through all the legal preliminaries to the wedding and make sure that these are successfully completed.

The Kent County Council ceremony fees are payable directly to them. We have a full premises license. Five star Rating for EHO

Our license for alcohol and amplified music finishes 11.30pm and Crown Lodge closes at midnight.

We can also recommend local florists, venue stylists, photographers, cars and entertainment.

Top Tips

Think about the season’s Mid May is when the Leaves are on the trees and before this is Bluebell time, think about light and decorations that match the time of year.

Embrace your surroundings; Crown Lodge is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty

Be prepared whatever the weather, and be happy with whatever Mother Nature sends you, rainy weather can make amazing wedding photos. Consider, blankets, umbrellas, suntan lotion, and practical footwear. Make sure your guests know to bring extra layers just in case.

Keep it simple, Crown Lodge is beautiful all year around.

Make a weekend of it; Crown Lodge is surrounded by wonderful accommodation, B&B’s Pubs with rooms, five-star hotels, cottages to rent. A short drive to the city of Canterbury or the other way is the Sandy beaches of Camber and other lovely Seaside towns.

General Information

If you think we are the right venue for you we ask for a £1000.00 deposit a further deposit of £1000.00 is due at our 6 month meeting and the remainder including and pre ordered drinks is to be paid at our six week meeting. We also offer a monthly payment plan

We will book the Ceremony for you once you have booked with us. Our fees do not include the KCC Ceremony Fee and this is paid direct to them by yourselves.

Access on the day is from 10am and all belongings are collected the following day.

Naked Flames are not allowed but battery and Solar Candles, lighting are allowed.

We do allow natural confetti.

We do not allow Fireworks or Chinese Lanterns as we are in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

You will be given a full information sheet on booking and this includes, Suppliers, Local accommodation, taxis etc..

You will be asked to sign T&Cs.

You are welcome to leave Cars overnight but these have to be collected the following morning

The Carpark is locked from Midnight until 10am

We have two high chairs

We do have disabled facilities

We do have Baby changing Facilities

Amplified Music is played until 11.30pm.

The Bar is also closed at 11.30pm

Crown Lodge Closes at Midnight

Although we are Rural we ask that you leave quietly as we do have neighbours.
