SHOW BASICS

The 5 dog shows which make up the 2022 National set of shows will be held at the Purina Event Center. In addition to the Designated National Specialty on Saturday, June 4, the Lakes Region will support a Designated Regional Specialty on Friday, June 3, and the Mid America Region will support a Designated Regional Specialty on Sunday, June 5. Addition information, Premium List and entry information is available at the Foy Trent web- site: www.foytrentdogshows.com NOTE: The Thursday Gateway Terrier Association entry is separate from the Missouri Rhine- land KC and Mississippi Valley KC entry form. GROOMING APRON WITH EMBROIDERED SHOW LOGO

To celebrate our 2022 return to the St. Louis area, the 2022 logo features our team of busy Dandies relaxing under the St. Louis Arch! We are featuring this logo on some of the specialty prizes as well as on a three (3) pocket silver grooming apron. The apron is a heavy cotton, fully washable apron with ties to hold it in place.

Once size fits all! Pre - specialty orders only! Order on the DDTCA website. Be sure to in- clude your address information if you request shipping; shipping fee is an additional $10.00. Aprons will be available at the Friday evening celebration banquet. Cost is $30.00. You may also order by mail. See Order Form in this booklet.

HOST HOTEL INFORMATION

Our “ home away from home ” is the The Holiday Inn at 6 Flags, Allenton Six Flags Road, Eureka, MO. You must call the hotel direct and ask for the DDTCA Group rate. Tel 636.938.6661 The Specialty Banquet, Annual Meeting and Breeding Better Dogs seminar will be held at this hotel. Block rate is only available until April 26, 2022.

SPECIALTY BANQUET AND SILENT AUCTION

Due to banquet space limitations at the Holiday Inn, the Specialty Banquet and Silent Auction have been moved to FRIDAY, June 3 . We will not have the traditional remarks from the judg- es; however, their critiques will be published in M&P. We will have a relaxing evening of food, drink and conversation with fellow Dandie exhibitors and friends. Best of all, the SILENT AUCTION is back! The cash bar will open at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner and AUCTION MADNESS at 6:00 p.m. The plated dinner starts with a mixed green salad, rolls & butter, and includes an entrée choice of a boneless breast of chicken, done Piccata style; or a roast pork loin with bread dressing; or a vegetarian plate; all served with fresh seasonal vegetables, chef ’ s accomplishments, coffee, tea and a New York style cheesecake dessert. During dinner and the conversations after, the Silent Auction will be in action. Cost is $45.00 per person.

The “ Silent Auction ” is back! Now that we are having a specialty ban- quet on Friday, the auction tables and bidding fun will return. You can help make this event one for the ages! Take inventory - and find treas- urers to share with the fancy and help raise funds to support the oper-

JUDGES EDUCATION SEMINAR AND RINGSIDE MENTORING

Note: attendance at this program is limited to prospective judges who have completed the Canine College Dandie Dinmont breed test, have a judge ’ s number from AKC or other registry and are planning to apply for the breed, or, are approved judges. The Judges ’ Education Seminar will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 8:00 AM in the Founders Room at the show site, followed by the Hands - On. Ringside mentoring is offered during Regular Classes at the National Specialty on Saturday. Seminar fee is $25.00 payable to DDTCA. DANDIE DINMONT TERRIER CLUB OF AMERICA ANNUAL MEETING

According to the club by - laws, the annual meeting shall be held at a time and place desig- nated by the Board of Governors. The Board has designated the Lincoln Room, Holiday Inn 6 Flags, Eureka, Missouri as the location for the 2022 Annual Meeting. The meeting shall convene at 3:00 p.m., CDT on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Notice will be provided to all mem- bers at least 30 days prior to the meeting. Ten percent (10%) of current voting members in good standing shall constitute a quorum. The agenda will include a brief review of accom- plishments during 2021, as well as the presentation of the Annual Awards for 2021.

All members and guests are welcome to attend.

BREEDING BETTER DOGS SEMINAR - PRESENTED BY MRS. PATRICIA TROTTER

RESERVE YOUR SEAT TODAY! The legendary Mrs. Patricia Trotter will share the breeding prin- ciples and practices that guided her revitalization of Norwegian Elkhounds. Pat won the Hound Group 11 times at Westminster and authored Born to Win, Breed to Succeed. We are excited that she has agreed to share her knowledge with us immedi- ately following the DDTCA Annual Meeting, Saturday June 4, 2022 at 4:15 p.m.

Seating is limited to 50. The seminar is offered at no charge. Dandie enthusiasts will have priority and we will not invite people from other breeds until May. Make your reservations today. This event is the first in a series of breeding seminars sponsored by the Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) and made possible by the Woodfield Fund.

Sunday June 5 - Time TBD after Breed Judging Agility Field - Purina Farms

Prizes & ribbons will be offered for all Dandie Dinmonts participating in the races. If your dog gets the Dandie dithers, goes on a tear, or loves to chase other dogs, this is the FUN EVENT for you! The 4 Race Categories Offered are:  Class A: DANDIE DARLINGS PUPPY CLASS - 18 months of age and under;  Class B: DANDIE DITHERS NOVICE CLASS – Not sure what your dog will do;  Class C: DANDIE DAMMIT OPEN CLASS – Hope dog will run  Class D: DAPPER DANDIE VETERAN CLASS— 7 years and older Dandies will compete with each other in the same class. Winners of each class will compete in the finals for “ Derby Winner ”. Complete an Entry Form for each dog and return with payment or enter and pay on - site on the day of the Derby.
