SUPERMARKET SELLS FOOD PAST ITS ' BEST BEFORE ' DATE FOR 10 P TO CUT WASTE
A supermarket chain has become the first big retailer to sell food that is past its "best before" date to cut down on food waste.
From now on, shoppers at the East of England Co-op's 125 stores will be able to buy a range of tinned goods like beans and as well as dried foods such as crisps, chocolates, cereals, nuts, cake, coffee, tea, pasta and rice for 10p.

BAKERY USED GRUBBY TENNIS RACKET TO MASH POTATOES
A North London bakery has been fined £152,823 after it was found to be using a tennis racket to mash potatoes.
The directors of Sweet Mahal and Doce Bakers, which both prepared food at the premises, appeared before Highbury Magistrates Court last week to answer charges, after an EHO inspection discovered the potato-covered racket in a bowl of boiled potatoes.

DOES DRESSING SMART EQUAL WORKING SMART ?
A third of workers feel judged by what they wear in the office, and around half (47%) wear a uniform to work, according to a recent study by clothing retailer, Banana Moon The survey of 2000 UK workers also found that almost a third (29%) said they struggled to find clothes that were suitable to wear to work. Understanding what was meant by smart/casual dress codes were thought to be part of the problem.
