The Role

Person Specification

Application Process

Founded in 2015, Dukes Education is a collection of the UK’s finest nurseries, schools and colleges, as well as summer schools and consultancy services — all united in their passion for nurturing students and helping them thrive. We are highly selective about which schools and organisations join us. Our family is small and close knit, which we carefully curate to ensure there is harmony amongst our teams.

Being part of the Dukes family means we can all come together to share experience and expertise, supporting each other to achieve the extraordinary.

There’s power in the collective, our results are outstanding, but there’s more to us than that. Our students benefit from constant sharing of best practice. Developing culturally and socially, whilst enjoying a rounded education.

“In 2015, I founded Dukes Education. The beginning of the Dukes story is simple. I wanted to do something I love, and I love developing young people.

I’ve been inspired by many individuals throughout my involvement in finance, the military and sport. Growing up with dyslexia meant I had to find my own way to succeed – but the encouragement and support of my family and school was crucial. I wanted to give others the chance to be successful against the odds and in the face of obstacles. On every publication, email or letter from Dukes Education, you will see a small crown next to our name. When Dukes began, we decided to use a sign that expressed everything we wanted the company to be. The Dukes crown symbolises our ambition to be at the absolute top of the education sector – a mark of recognised quality. It also symbolises the ambition of our students and parents. They come to us for schooling, guidance and expertise because, in their own way, they want to build a ‘crown’ of achievement themselves. Our mission is to be the best at helping them to do this. Everything we do at Dukes is driven by a strong desire to nurture young people so they can achieve their true potential. I am so excited for our future. We are in a privileged position: we have a unique opportunity to create dreams and inspire excellence in our students. Only time will tell what lies ahead but we will continue to evolve and have fun while we create and inspire!

Welcome to Dukes Education.”

Little Dukes is the Early Years’ arm — with independent nurseries in London, Richmond upon Thames, and Worthing.

The Little Dukes family comprises a number of nursery groups who share and learn from each other, while still having the freedom to operate independently. It’s our goal to lay the foundations for a happy childhood, a fulfilling future, and an enduring love of learning.

St Margaret’s Montessori Nursery School

St Margaret’s Montessori was started in 1990. It began in the basement of Number 8 Victoria road with just 13 children, before expanding into the whole building a few years later. Originally St Margaret’s Montessori taught children up to the age of 7, but in 2008 the decision was made to close the upper school, and to increase the size of the nursery. Kew Montessori Nursery School Kew Montessori has been serving the families of Kew for over 35 years. The school offers the best quality Montessori nursery education for children from the age of 2 years until they start school. The Montessori school focuses on giving children the opportunity to be independent and confident and show this through their enhanced social skills and their care and respect of themselves, their friends and teachers, parents and their school.

Twickenham Park Day Nursery

Twickenham Park Day Nursery is a thriving day nursery situated close to Richmond Bridge in Twickenham. With modern, purpose-built premises, high staff ratios, a spacious garden, and dedicated staff, the nursery offers some of the capital’s very best care. The nursery is arranged over two floors and offers a safe garden area, beautiful classrooms, and large, airy play areas. Children are divided into age-appropriate groups to encourage friendships and access age-appropriate activities.

Bright Beginnings Day Nurseries

Bright Beginnings offers outstanding childcare for little ones from 3 months, to 5 years in the pre-school.

Baby rooms cater for children from the age of 3 months until they are confidently mobile. Once they are actively up and about with confidence and ready to move on, Tweenies would be their next stop. The Toddler Room accommodates 2 and rising 3 year olds in two groups, the Red group and the Yellow group. This allows the nursery to provide activities which are designed specifically at the developmental stage each group, rather than a general activity, which would leave some children bored, and others out of their depth. Finally, children will enter the pre-school group either on joining the nursery or having moved up from Toddlers. The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is followed by all of the children and extension activities are offered in all areas of the curriculum to ensure that they are able to achieve their full potential.
