7 WAYS YOU CAN BECOME HEALTHIER, STRONGER & MORE ACTIVE
It is a common aspiration to become healthier, stronger, or more active. However, this can sometimes be a difficult feat, with lack of time, pain, injuries, or difficulty sticking to a nutritious diet. When you are in pain, undesirable chemicals within your body are heightened, which can increase stress. As a result, your endocrine system becomes affected, which works to regulate the hormones in your body. Fortunately, the vast majority of aches and pains can be successfully treated by a licensed physical therapist. At Elevate Physical Therapy, our team is comprised of movement experts who have the knowledge and training to diagnose, evaluate, and treat any musculoskeletal condition that comes their way. To find out more about how our services can help you live a healthier, stronger, and more active life, contact our office today! Your health and you: The term “health” is all relative. It essentially means that your body is operating at its highest levels of function in regards to breathing,
circulation, digestion, and more. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be the most athletic person in the room. Any step you make toward helping your body function at its optimum levels is a step toward becoming a healthier you. Your physical therapist can provide you with exercises, stretches, and nutritional tips that can help increase your health and help you feel physically better overall. Increasing your strength and flexibility: It is no secret that strength and flexibility both play important roles in your health. Did you know that there are approximately 642 skeletal muscles in the human body? Your muscles work hard, not only to help you move, but also to support your circulatory and breathing systems. When you become stronger and more flexible, you become healthier overall. Our physical therapists can guide you through proper exercises and specialized treatments in order to relieve your joint andmuscle pain, increase your strength and flexibility, and improve your overall health.

At ELEVATE Physical Therapy, we are committed to serving you and your family in a comfortable and caring environment. Following CDC guidelines, we have taken extra steps to keep our facility safe and clean for you: • The temperatures of patients and staff members are taken at entry to rule out fever. • Before and after every session, we are asking our patients and staff to wash or sanitize their hands. • We require that all staff wear masks. We have masks available for patients here at the clinic. • We are limiting our patient number to reduced capacity and are practicing social distancing in the clinic. We will expand our hours as needed in order to maintain a lower number of patients per hour. • Additionally, we have increased the number of times per day that we sanitize our equipment and facility. To help prevent the spread of this contagious disease, we ask that if you are demonstrating symptoms of coronavirus—coughing, sneezing, or fever—please stay home. Additionally, if you have been exposed to someone who has a confirmed case of the virus, please notify us immediately so that we can take the necessary steps. Your cooperation in this tough time is what makes us able to continue to provide valuable services to you and your family. We appreciate your ongoing support. “If you have a physical therapy problem, Elevate is the place to go to recover and learnhow toget better. Over the past 5 or so years, I have been sograteful to the great physical therapists and their assistants at Elevate Physical Therapy. I went first to them to see if there was anything that could be done about serious chronic vertigo which had plagued me for some 50 years. Dr. Kevin McAlister workedwithme patiently andwithgreat success and empathy, and finally had me on a maintenance programwhich was a life-changer for me. All this occurred with no medication at all, which in the past had been the only way that I had had treatment, andwhich never worked for more than a very short time. I also had a sudden problemwith a swollen andpainful ankle and knee, both of which were corrected in a few weeks with exercise and ultra-sound treatments, and I have remained pain free ever since. And finally, this year I had a bad fall and broke my wrist, and again, have had excellent treatment, encouragement and exercise fromthis great team. I cannot speak too highly of this group of highly skilled and professional therapists, and I thank themmost sincerely.” — Rosemary Wedderspoon

Committed to your health and wellbeing, we are practicing hand washing and/or use of hand sanitizer throughout treatment and in between each patient, along with wiping down tables, equipment, and handrails, doorknobs, and chairs multiple times per hour. We have been spreading patients out among the facility including the gym and private treatment rooms. The front desk is cleaning the counters and sanitizing the waiting area and front doors with the same frequency. Please follow these simple steps to help prevent the spread: KEEPING YOUR HEALTH IN MIND
