It helped to get us through the most unsteady, claustrophobic and worrying year that the world will hope never to see the like of again. – it took our maker a mere 23 hours. Hour for hour, that’s real value for money!

We favour the exclusive use of vegetable- based inks ensuring all our products are printed using low, or no, alcohol printing techniques eliminating the Volatile Organic Compound emissions that are harmful to health and contribute to global warming and the destruction of ozone.

More than 95% of all of our products are produced in the UK using UK-sourced, environmentally accredited materials. As a responsible greeting card publisher, we are continuously working towards improving our environmental credentials and applying the best practice to all issues that affect the environment such as sustainable paper sources, biodegradability and recycling.

We encourage recycling by the consumer by having a ‘recycle’ message on the back of our cards.

We work with our suppliers to ensure that the material we purchase comes from independently cer tified and well-managed forests, which reject illegal and/or destructive logging, and which are regulated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Cer tification schemes (PEFC) or an equivalent standard.

When I started selling greetings cards in January 2016, I’d recently stopped working as a school secretary. I needed a bit more than just working on the family farm. I needed something just for me - a chance to get out and meet new people. I LOVE CARDS! There is nothing better than receiving a card (rather than a bill!), in the post - it’s such a great pick-me-up. I was away at boarding school as a child and then worked hundreds of miles away from my family home, in London as a nurse, and I’ve kept every precious card and letter I received during this time. They are special in a way that a text can never be. Now, almost five years on, I am so glad to still be selling these amazing products. I’ve had a focus, especially in these uncertain times as my other part-time jobs have dried up due to COVID 19. It’s been a tough year for us all, but it has given me more time to devote to building my business. In December, my extra efforts helped me to qualify as an Executive Partner.

I had three new team members in August, September and October making eight in total. When I shared my

goals, they all got behind me and as a team we all had some fabulous sales in the months running up to Christmas. Thanks too to my support network – always there to encourage me. My highlights this year, along with gaining Executive Partner status, have been raising over £400 for Macmillan at my socially distanced Coffee Events in the garden, and also £60 for MND, through an online ‘party’. I’m looking forward to 2021 – who isn’t! We’ll all be glad to see the back of 2020. Hopefully, we’ll be able to go back to fairs and events, where I love meeting people, finding new customers and, hopefully, new team-members.
