EVO was founded in October 2015. We’ve grown from 4 to 12 groups since the lockdown started and now ALPHA is back in-person ! We have limited numbers for this special trial meeting and we’ll o ff er you either a green or red sticker upon arrival to indicate whether you’re comfortable with handshakes etc. We are limiting the numbers for safety and this an opportunity for you to meet around 25 other business people, connect and network, mastermind a business question and hear from a speaker. If you’d like to find out how to apply to become a Member of one of the groups, please contact us before the event, ask the team or stay on at the end of the meeting where we can informally chat. Parking EVO ran events at the Ivy Clifton 3 years ago and parking is surprisingly easy, and in many cases, the pay & display charging starts at 9am . You can therefore get a 30 min free ticket on arrival so you can be covered until 9.30am. You may want to download/prep to use RingGo so you can remotely top-up by 15/30 mins if you choose to stay-on by app.

Sunjay Singh turned 30 last Saturday. He co-founded LifeMedia UK aged 18 and today is a rising star in video production. At this meeting he will be talking to the group about diversity in business . LifeMedia UK helps marketers generate leads and business owners grow their business through the power of video marketing. He received a First Class in Genetics at The University of The West of England. He has led one of the EVO Business Networking groups called EVO Alpha for 3 years and has spoken at nearly every Business Showcase SouthWest at the Stadium in Bristol. His clients include ITV and British Corner Shop. “As a business, we have grown significantly since inception; something which I am driven to continue as we take on more projects and further enhance our offering.”

EVO Founder: Jamie Breese

Jamie is the founder of EVO and EVO Ultra. He has been running business events for 13 years: stadium expos, online and in-person EVO events in premium venues and dozens of upper-tier networking balls for 500+ decision- makers at Only Connect. Jamie has engaged speakers from Baroness Brady to the Secretary of State for International Trade, from Rob Law MBE to Labour peer Baroness Primarolo. He has officially partnered with and welcomed speakers from firms like Facebook and Google and co-promoted and compered ‘Boris Means Business’ with the Prime Minister. The Business Showcase South West is the largest business event in the SW of England and has been held 10 times to date at stadium venues. Alongside this, he has developed a contacts book as an event host, columnist at the Sunday Mirror for 20 years and a presenter of more than 500 network TV shows in the UK and US. He won a 2 year ‘first look’ deal with Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett as a writer and director and has made a dozen films and videos to date. Currently, he co hosts/co produces the weekly LinkedIn accredited show The Biz Live and continues to work for charities, having helped raise over £1m as an auctioneer, compere, or organiser.

Whilst the country was in a national lockdown, routes to market for the majority of new businesses were turned on their heads over night. The leadership team at EVO thought on their feet and decided to facilitate online networking calls via Zoom on a weekly basis. Much like other business owners, I was looking for an effective way to market myself and get my message out to new potential clients and customers and joining EVO was an easy, seamless decision once I’d visited one of the group meetings. Immediately I felt welcome in the Genesis group, amongst founding members and other ‘newbies’ like myself. It wasn’t long before I was having more personalised 1-2-1’s with members over Zoom and Teams. Just over a year in I now have 20 clients as a result of the network and I now feel like an established member. I also now know many members as friends which is a massive perk of the more laid back yet focussed approach to networking that EVO has created. It has been an excellent source of activity and business for me over the past year and I would happily recommend to anyone looking to spread the word about their business in the South West.
