Hudson Bike Tour $80 Embark on a bike adventure tour along a relatively fat 15-mile stretch from Highland, NY to Hopewell Junction. Pedal your way along an old railroad track led by experienced and enthusiastic guides who will share all about the history of the Hudson River Valley. Grab your helmet and adventure over the Hudson and beyond! $55 Explore the Liberty Science Center, a cutting-edge museum featuring a vast array of interactive, hands-on exhibitions. Check out the storm-resistant, sustainable beach house, the suspended climbing gym known as the “Infnity Climber,” and a gallery of light-infused microbial art. Once you’ve had a chance to investigate the mysteries of science on your own, settle in for an awe-inspiring experience at the largest planetarium in the Western hemisphere. Liberty Science Center + Planetarium SPYSCAPE + Escape Room $102 Channel your inner secret agent as you venture through SPYSCAPE, an interactive spy museum in Manhattan. Investigate the gadgets and techniques of successful spies, and then undertake a series of challenges—including decryption, deception, surveillance, and special ops. Finish the day by putting your sharpened spy skills to the test at Escape the Room NYC. $98 Venture to Stamford, Connecticut to spend a day on the ocean with SoundWaters, an organization dedicated to protecting Long Island Sound through education and action. Spend the morning aboard an 80-foot Schooner sailboat, learning about the rich history and diverse wildlife of Long Island Sound. In the afternoon, it’s your turn to steer the boar as you explore the waters in a kayak and then on a paddle board. Sailing, Paddleboarding, and Kayaking High Line + Museum of Ice Cream $88 Take a walk along Manhattan’s mile-long elevated park, where you can see excellent views of the city and surround yourself in greenery in the middle of bustling Manhattan. Then, it’s time to chill . What’s a summer without ice cream? Slide into the iconic sprinkle pool, taste all sorts of ice cream treats, and learn all about the fascinating history of so many people’s favorite dessert. $30 It’s time to act, direct, write, and produce a short flm in just a single day. Work alongside your fellow movie enthusiasts during this crash course in flmmaking. You’ll start the morning discussing best practices to prepare your script, set up your shots, and create some movie magic. In the afternoon, edit your short flms while you work against the clock. Make sure you check out the Unisphere and the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. After a leisurely picnic lunch, settle in for a New York Mets baseball game at Citi Field. Cheer on the Mets and take in the exciting atmosphere of one of America’s favorite pastimes. $52 Today is all about fun and relaxation. Toss a frisbee or read a good book under the sun before cooling off with a dip in the ocean. Chill out with friends or search for seashells along the beautiful Long Island Sound. Day at the Beach Rock Climbing + 5 Wits $101 Begin your day with an adventurous morning at the Cliffs of Valhalla, a Westchester climbing gym with an abundance of bouldering walls and auto belay courses. After exhausting your climbing muscles, transition to a new type of challenge after lunch as you tackle the adventures at 5 Wits West Nyack. 5 Wits is not quite an escape room, a museum exhibit, or virtual reality; it’s a unique experience all of its own. You’ll work with a team to conquer three immersive adventures flled with puzzles, obstacles, and surprises. $100 Spend a day enjoying the thrills at Six Flags Great Adventure, a massive amusement park in Jackson, New Jersey, featuring 14 roller coasts in addition to many other attractions. Relax on the classic Ferris wheel, scream at the top of your lungs on the speedy Batman coast, or take off down the log fume and prepare to be splashed! Six Flags Great Adventure Untermyer Gardens + Paint Party $55 Start your morning at Untermyer Gardens, a pristine and historic 43-acre public park. Stroll around the gardens to view the Hudson, an incredible collection of fowers and plants, and the iconic walled garden. After a picnic lunch, head back to campus for a Paint Party! Have refreshments while you paint a cityscape led by our very own EXPLO Art Coordinator! $30 Survive and battle your way through the day with your friends. Learn to build anything you can imagine, use teamwork to defend a base you created, and have lots of fun while you’re at it! With several activities like Survival, Capture the Flag, Building Competitions, and more, you'll compete and cooperate with your fellow players in a Minecraft adventure like no other. Scavenger Hunt at the Met $77 Spend the day at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the largest and most well-known art museums in the world. In the morning, you’ll have time to explore the museum on your own, viewing diverse art collections ranging from Medieval to Egyptian to Modern and Contemporary. Take a break for a picnic lunch in Central Park before returning to the Met to experience the galleries in a new way: through a Watson Adventures scavenger hunt. Led by an experienced guide, this hunt will take you and your peers on a journey through the museum flled with sneaky clues, puzzling questions, and enlightening solutions. $62 Explore the American Museum of Natural History, an expansive collection of exhibits spanning science, history, and culture. The museum features over 25 interconnected buildings with collections ranging from fossils and cultural artifacts to mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. After a morning of self-guided adventures through the museum, settle in for an afternoon trip to outer space at the Hayden Planetarium, where you’ll immerse yourself in an exploration of stars, galaxies, and other wonders of the known universe. Marvel at animals large and small, get a bird’s eye view of the park on the Nature Trek, and ride the bug ca rousel. With the “Total Experience” pass, you’ll even be able to access special exhibits such as the Congo Gorilla Forest, Jungle World, and Butterfy Garden. $52 Today is all about fun and relaxation. Raft along the river for 4-5 hours, from Pond Eddy to Port Jervis Landing, passing through a number of class I and II rapids along the way. Partway through the day you’ll have the chance to stop for lunch at a beautiful spot along the river, refueling before the fnal leg of the trip. If you like spending time on the water, tackling new challenges, and diving into active outdoor endeavors, this trip is sure to be a memorable adventure. White Water Rafting Storm King Art Center - $48 Storm King Art center is a beautiful 500-acre outdoor museum located in the Hudson Valley. You’ll get to explore the outdoor collection of modern and contemporary art and the impressive large-scale sculptures and artistic pieces on your own. $30 Create and develop your character, and then set off with your party on an adventure like no other. Whether you are new to the world of D&D or a seasoned Dungeon Master, you’ll weave together a campaign of monster-slaying and conquest that will challenge you to build camaraderie with your teammates, hone your strategy skills, and add a fourish to your storytelling.
