He also developed the first plastic bottle recyclable PS label recognized by the APR. solution represented by the PANORAMA True Hybrid lineup stands in sharp contrast to aggregated, add- on component options that truly cannot achieve the seamless production needed in today’s converting environment,” said Paul Teachout, Nilpeter USA’s Vice President Sales & Marketing. The companies have worked with one another for several years now, but this was the first opportunity the two manufacturers had to share an open house event. The companies have formed a true partnership, one in which Nilpeter’s and Screen’s sales people trav- el and work cooperatively side by side. Long Histories Both companies had the opportunity to share their distinguished histories with open house attendees. Ken Ingram, President of Screen Americas, dis- cussed his company’s experience of servicing the graphic arts industries for more than 150 years, with more than 1,500 Screen-manufactured contin- uous-feed inkjet engines in service worldwide to- day. The company believes in, “technology crossing boundaries,” Ingram said. All the company’s various divisions leverage advances in shared R&D, engi- neering and material science, which is then adapted to the specific market purpose. Nilpeter is celebrating its 100th anniversary in busi- ness this year, and the company remains 100% private- ly owned. “With innovative technology, creative solutions, and excellent customer support, we strive to be the most attractive business partner and supplier of printing presses in the global narrow-web market for self-adhe- sive labels and flexible packaging,” said Lenny DeGirol- mo, President/Managing Director of Nilpeter USA. “Our machines produce the full spectrum of labels and packaging from all types of materials,” DeGirolmo said.“We are committed to solving complex challenges for our customers.” Diane Ewanko, Business Development Manager at Avery Dennison, provided an overview of the compa- ny, which specializes in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of labeling and functional materials. The company currently has operations in more than 50 countries worldwide. Ewanko shared survey results from FINAT in which 45 percent of converters sur- veyed said they plan to buy a digital press in the next 18 months. The same survey also showed that by 2023, digital will make enormous market gains but that flexo will still hold a commanding market share. Getting the correct color has always been one of flexo's biggest challenges. Anilox selection plate type, substrate, and other conditions all play a part in hitting LAB targets, but starting with the proper press-ready ink is critical for repeatability. In response to this need, Pamarco has released for sale its automatic precision proofer: Iris. Utilizing the company's well-known hand proofers and hand proofers with doctor blades in an automatic system, Iris removes operator inconsistencies. Speed, impression, and a selection of anilox rolls built to converter specifications combine to produce
highly consistent results. Contact us today for your Pamarco Iris Proofer [email protected] or 678-799-5915
