Propheteer Shuts Down
Propheteer International, Lake Zurich, IL, has closed its flexo press manufacturing business.FlexoSupport LLC has exclusively acquired all of Propheteer’s intellectual assets and parts inventory, including the right to continue the manufacture and sale of O.E.M. parts and offer technical ser- vice. The intellectual assets include engineering drawings, and customer information including build files. Roger Campbell, technical service manager for Propheteer for the last 20 years, is leading this new busi- ness, and will continue to offer O.E.M. parts and technical service for all Propheteer customers. Mark Andy, Colordyne Partner Colordyne Technologies has an- nounced a strategic partnership with Mark Andy as an exclusive dis- tributor of the Colordyne 3600 Se- ries digital print technology, on Mark Andy legacy press models including 2200 and 4150 platforms, in the Americas label converting market.
N ilpeter USA, Inc. has provided Clemson University’s graph- ic communications program with a flexographic printing press valued at more than $900,000. “Nilpeter’s gift is an investment in the next generation of packaging design leaders,” said Clemson President James P.
Clements. “We appreciate, and are honored, that Nilpeter rec- ognizes Clemson as a leader in preparing high-calibre printing and packaging design professionals for the industry.” Clemson’s College of Business’ graphic communications pro- gram has long been recognized as a national leader in packag- ing design and printing education. Through such gifts as Nilpeter’s, Clemson employs a hands-on approach to package design and printing education, which gives students an em- ployability advantage. FTA 2016 Fall Conference To Focus On Results The Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) 2016 Fall Conference, will feature a session called Producing Results: Qualify, Quantify & Control the Production Run . Uteco Installs Presses At Three Arizona Customers Uteco has recently completed three customer in- stallations in Arizona. Pure Pack, which is located in Phoenix, continued its expansion by adding a second Uteco press, an 8-color Onyx 808. Poly Print, located in Tucson, Arizona, also contin- ued its partnership with Uteco by adding a 10-color Uteco Onyx 108. The newest member to the Uteco family, Arizona Flexibles, located in Lake Havasu City, purchased an 8-color Onyx 808. Piedmont Plastics Named Gold-Level SGP Patron Piedmont Plastics is the newest Sustainable Green Printing Partnership Patron at the gold level.
