Scent Matrix
Program Details ● Scents were chosen based on the ‘gold standard’ University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test (UPSIT) and expert recommendations. ● At this time, we have 8 scents utilized across 60+ variations. ● Multiple choice options only contain scents that we’re actually utilizing in order to minimize guessing. ● There is a ‘No Scent” included to minimize guessing. ● We can scale with additional scents and additional variations. Scoring
● Approximately 15% of the population over 40 has some challenge to their sense of smell. Because of this, if you score a 1 or 2 on your first card, we advise to take another card and test again for a total of 8. ● We are testing your sense of smell and provide Daily Trackers in each of the kits. ○ User A might score 4 4 4 3 4 4 and pass. ○ User B might score 3 4 3 3 1 1 and this change would indicate they should consult their healthcare provider. ● There is less than a 0.4% chance of guessing and getting 4/4 correct. 1.5% chance of getting 3/4 correct.
We wish we could have 100% But at least we know 78%.
