THE BLUEPRINT

EDITION #4

WELCOME Off the back of a fantastic Summer Conference commemorating MRG’s 15th birthday, and the beginning of a glorious heatwave sweeping the UK – as a company it’s clear that we have plenty to celebrate. We’ve achieved a phenomenal amount, highlighted by Simon and the executive team at the Conference. Looking back on the pandemic years and the challenges which saw many recruitment companies cutting staff numbers and going under, we are going from strength to strength due to the hard work and ethos of our management team and all of us, collectively. 2. Our top ten clients were billed £1.6million in the first half of 2022. 3. Our top ten fee earners produced £2million of fees in H1 2022. 4. In March 2022, Olly achieved the accolade of highest ever fees achieved in one month, with a whopping £99,000 There are also some great individual performances that deserve a shout out. The below individuals all set new personal records in the first six months of 2022 and were promoted as a result: 1. Hannah Searle to Practice Manager, fees in H1 were £80,264 2. Hayley Wood to Business Director, fees in H1 were £138,565 3. Emilia Fasano to Business Director, fees in H1 were £144,502 4. Matt Giles to Business Director, fees in H1 were £126,616 5. Matt Donovan to Business Sector Director, with £290,000 in international fees generated in its first year. Some key highlights from H1 that we should be proud of: 1. H1 fees are up 90% in 2022, compared to 2019. Simon said that 2022 would be our golden year for achievements and so far, we’ve broken all our previous records by a mile. We’re in prime position for our rebrand and website launch, and with our new identity and branding, we should be able to carry this success forward into H2 and beyond. Onwards and upwards – please find company updates and important information below, plus a bumper edition of Out(side) of Office shenanigans as many people took well deserved breaks to cool off.

PEOPLE IMPROVEMENT GROUP

HOUSEKEEPING We have been hearing that there is a need for you to have a space in the office to keep personal items. Whilst we do have the black drawers dotted around, as they can move around people sometimes find the drawer with their personal belongings goes walkabouts. We have therefore acquired some sticky labels, so you can label your drawer and even if they get moved you will know which one is yours. A few things to note: • Having a labeled draw in no way means that the desk it is under, is your desk. We are still working on a hot desk basis. • Please ensure that going forward, at the end of the day there are no personal items sat either on or under any desks and they are either taken home or put in your drawer.

TRAINING

This Thursday 21st July our very own Michael Hewlett will be hosting Understanding the Customer – a Lunch and Learn training session aimed at giving you the tools to deliver the best service for your clients and candidates. A separate Teams session will be organised in due course for those unable to attend or overseas. Towards the end of July, beginning with Thursday 28th July , our Marketing guru Charlotte Rush will start delivering training workshops around Linkedin & Building your Personal Brand , off the back of the MRG brand relaunch at the Summer Conference. We’ll be organising multiple sessions both in person and via Teams, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part and enhance their own brand to great success. Please keep an eye out for further emails with more detail on these sessions.

You can get a label from Becky, any day she is in the office.

Other housekeeping reminders: • Please ensure at the end of every day you put your cups and mugs in the kitchen, and your rubbish in the bin. • We do not have someone cleaning up after us in the office, if you make a mess please clear this up yourself.

• Please tuck your chair under your desk at the end of the day.

• We work on a hot desk basis, please do not leave items on / under desks overnight. • Please be mindful when using room and printing credits. Only book a room if absolutely neccesarily and if you do need to print something please ensure it is in black and white. If you need to use a substantial amount of credits please speak to your director first, before proceeding.

MARKETING

GOOGLE REVIEWS We know that Google Reviews can have a really positive effect on our business, as word of mouth becomes more and more of an influencing factor in decision making. Please can we therefore ask that as a first port of call, when you have made a placement and you are having a follow up call after they have started in-role, please ask them if “They would be happy to pop on to Google and leave us a Review”.

Linus has already started doing this and we already have two new 5* reviews.

REBRAND & NEW ASSETS Thank you to everyone who has already started using the new brand assets, we’ve had some really positive responses so far. Please ensure you have now changed your LinkedIn and your signature, and that the signature follows what is set out in the instructions. Becky will be doing a Quality Check on all the assets next week.

THE WEBSITE The website has now been live for almost two weeks and we’re already seing some great performance metrics. A new Bid Recruitment website will be launching in the next few weeks also, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

All the latest assets can be found in the below folders:

APPLICATION PROCESS

• MRG • MRG People Asia • Bid Recruitment

Just a reminder, as previously mentioned the job board functionality/ application process isn’t working to the best of it’s ability at the moment. This will be rectified in the next two weeks, at which point, any applications to jobs posted onto the website will go directly into Bullhorn against the role. For the time being, we have found a workaround/ manual process, which means that all applications are coming into an email address ([email protected]). Any applications to roles that you have posted onto the website will be forwarded to you from the jobs@ inbox with a reference to the role that has been applied for. Please ensure that you respond to these applications in the usual manner once they have been forwarded to you. The CV will have already parsed into Bullhorn, so you will need to do a search in Bullhorn to find the new contact and then assign them to the opportunity from there. Becky is currently managing this process over the next couple of weeks until we’ve been able to automate it.

LINKEDIN BLURB

We have a new ‘About Us’ overview which you can add to your LinkedIn. Please can you replace the old blurb ( MRG is an International Group of Specialist Recruitment Businesses.. .) with: MRG is a globally renowned recruitment company, dedicated to leadership appointments in real estate, facilities and development. Our blueprint for success of people, process and expertise empowers our clients to make unbiased hiring decisions that are truly inclusive, and offers our candidates a fair and transparent recruitment service.

MARKETING ASSIGNING SECTORS

JOB LISTINGS - TOP TIPS

The new website/ Bullhorn integration has also highlighted, that we will need to do some training around which sectors to assign your opportunities to so that they pull through onto the correct pages on the new website to which they are mapped. This will take place in the next few weeks.

As you know, the job search function is still a working progress, but below are a few things we have found so far which you may find useful: • The advert is more reliant on the Bullhorn listing then previously, therefore if you make an update in Bullhorn you shouldn’t need to republish it but just wait 10/20 minutes before checking it has pulled through. • That being said, there are a few things that will need to be changed in the website backend, and you can request by emailing Becky: • Salary : If you wish to hide the salary, this will need to be turned off on the website. • Logos : It has been set up whereby the website will initially try to automatically add a logo. Please always check your listing, in case it is meant to be a prviate ad but has pulled the logo through. This can be turned off if needed. • Location : The website has been set up to pull through the location from the City field in Bullhorn. If this makes your job too idenifiable, instead of writing the actual City in this location please instead put the region (e.g. South East). • Live Ads: Whereas on the previous website once the closing date was passed it would pull the job off the website, this is no longer the case. You will need to set the Status of the job from Open > Close in order to remove it. • Job Title / Function : Please ensure you have chosen a ‘Job Title’ in Bullhorn from the latest codes. If it is using an old code, it will still show on the website against your personal profile, but will not feature in the Job Search. As with all new websites things are constantly changing and improving, so we will keep you posted of any further development down the road. If you find anything that needs amending please email: [email protected] Please note: Changes that involved development will not be immediate, but will be added to the list, where appropriate.

JOB LISTINGS - DESCRIPTION

When developing the new website and pulling in all of our live jobs from Bullhorn, we have noticed that the format is different to our existing website. This means that the jobs don’t look overly appealing in list view on the new website. When creating an advert please write a couple of sentences at the top of the advert that covers the following: - 1st Sentence: 20-30 words that include the exact opportunity, where, contract type. 2nd Sentence: Something big/exciting about the opportunity i.e. client name, leading benefits, flexibility, travel, etc. E.g. why someone should apply. It should be obvious now in Bullhorn where to put this information but if you have any questions please give Karl a shout. Please also ensure that the salary even with negotiable or competitive, the contract type and location are also completed in Bullhorn so this this information is pulled through.

Bid Team please speak to Karl before you do anything.
