THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! Contest and Giveaway
Placing your trust in someone can be difficult on a good day, let alone when someone’s in trouble. We understand how difficult it is to entrust the future of a friend or loved one to someone else, and that’s something that everyone on the Izquierdo Law Firm team doesn’t take for granted. On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank all of you for entrusting your family and friends to us, and we ask that you continue to refer us so we can continue to help good people throughout Florida.
2019 has been a great year for the office so far, and we couldn’t have had such an awesome start to the year if it weren’t for all of you. Everyone in the office is extremely grateful for the support and referrals we’ve received in the past four months. It means more to us than words can describe. Referrals are a big part of a business, especially in law. Not only do they help the company grow, but they also build valuable client relationships. For instance, in asking a client to refer a family member or friend to the services of a law firm, both parties are working together to ensure loved ones are taken care of. When we receive a referral, it tells us two big things: we were able to help a client in a time of great need, and that client trusts us to now help someone else in the same way. Our goal is to give the best results and care we can, and we value the opportunity to do that for every person who comes to us seeking aid.
Izquierdo Law Firm wants to thank everyone who continues to refer people to our firm by hosting a contest and giveaway! Participants will have a chance to win an Amazon Echo smart speaker with Alexa. To enter, all you have to do is like our Facebook page and then like and share a post from our page. If Instagram is more your thing, don’t worry. Make sure you are following @izlegal then either repost or like and tag three (3) friends. This friendly competition will last for a few months until we announce a winner sometime in early July.
Don’t hesitate to go over to our social media and enter today!

ACTIVE SEARCHING FOR ACTIVE PASTIMES Finding the Right Time to Get Your Children Into Sports
in any sports, even though they are old enough to understand the rules and are coordinated enough to play, you might want to consider other activities, like art or music classes. Still, it is essential that they are active for at least an hour every day, no matter their interests. Sometimes kids will get frustrated with the sports they play (even if they like playing them), and they might want to quit. If your child doesn’t seem to like the sport you signed them up for, encourage them to at least finish out the season. They might just need a little more time to warm up to it. However, if they still aren’t enjoying it at the end of the season, help them find other activities that they might like better. Ultimately, when a child is ready to play sports, it is important to stay in tune with what brings them joy and what keeps them mentally and physically healthy.
Whether you were the star player or the kid who picked flowers in the middle of the field all game, almost everyone has memories of being on a sports team when they were young. Some lose interest over time and pursue other activities, while others find they really enjoy their sport, maybe have a real talent for it, and continue playing until they are young adults. Whatever the case, parents should take a couple of factors into consideration when determining if their child is ready for sports. If they begin playing too early, it might turn them off to the sport before they really understand it. It could also result in premature wear on muscles and bones that prevents them from playing their sport later on.
Instead, try sports like T-ball, soccer, or karate. They won’t be ready for more intensive sports until they are 10–12 years old. If your child does not seem to enjoy team sports, you might see if they may like more individual sports, like running or swimming. Their personality can be just as significant as their age when it comes to choosing the right sport.
Most experts believe that the proper age for introducing your child to sports is somewhere between 6 and 9 years old. When they are younger than 6, it is important for them to be active, but their motor skills are not yet developed enough to play most competitive sports. Trying to get them to understand this fact at that age might only make them frustrated with the sport and make them dislike it before they can even give it a try. Even when children are between the ages of 6 and 9, they might not be ready for sports that require higher forms of coordination, like football or hockey.
Some children might not show interest in organized sports at all. If your child does not seem interested

that is appropriate for mature audiences) can only air between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Most shows airing between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. are rated TV-G or TV-PG.These are similar in content to their movie counterparts. Some television children’s shows will also be rated as TV-Y or TV-Y7, and their only distinction is that TV-Y7 has been deemed appropriate for young children ages 7 and older.TV ratings can also have additional descriptors attached to them to explain what kind of content earned the rating. VIDEO GAMES: There are seven video game ratings: Early Childhood (EC), Everyone (E), Everyone 10+ (E10), Teen (T), Mature (M), Adults Only (AO), or Rating Pending (RP). These ratings provide consumers with more information about content. Again, as the age of the intended user increases, content progresses from allowing mild violence or suggestive content to adult themes.
Despite guidance from ratings systems, it can be difficult for parents to discern what digital content is appropriate for their children. Learn more about ratings guidelines for common entertainment media and how to decipher that information so you can make educated decisions that work for your family. MOVIES: G-rated movies are considered suitable for all ages, whereas PG, PG-13, and R-rated movies are progressively less appropriate for kids because of violence, nudity, and language. Some ratings come with age limits; children who are under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at R-rated movies. TV SHOWS: Due to laws that limit inappropriate content on public airwaves,TV rating systems follow unique codes. In the U.S., shows that are rated as TV-14 (content that is suitable for those ages 14 and older) can only air after 5 p.m. Meanwhile,TV-MA (content
When choosing family entertainment, experts suggest using both the rating and the description of the media to make your decision since the rating system may not fully explain media content. For example, studies have found that a PG-13 movie can sometimes have just as much violence as an R-rated movie. Additionally, you may be fine with the content in a T-rated video game for a more developmentally advanced 11-year-old. Once you get past all the combinations of numbers and letters, you as a parent might find that ratings for video games, movies, and TV shows provide helpful information. Couple the ratings with your own research and your own values, and put an end to worrying about what surprises may lurk in your children’s media.

COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR CRIMINAL CONVICTION
When you’re convicted of a crime, the judge overseeing your case will decide what punishment is appropriate. Possibilities include probation, jail time, fines, restitution, and community service. Community service is an option judges use to add to or replace some of the mentioned punishments, most commonly fines, probation, or incarceration. However, the sentence will only be given to individuals who have a nonserious offense. Criminals sentenced with life imprisonment or charged with crimes punishable by death will not be given a chance for community service. Once an individual is sentenced with community service, they will spend a certain amount of time in service for the offense they’ve caused. The time given to them can’t exceed the maximum sentence for their particular crime. For example, if someone were to be punished for embezzlement in Florida and their sentence was ten years of imprisonment, the judge cannot give the offender eight years in prison and an additional four years in community service.
a judge’s sentence due to a lack of connection between the community service and the crime.
There is a large range of services an offender can provide, but there are some required guidelines. An offender’s community service must not affect the public’s safety, and the sentence can’t intrude on the offender’s rights or be overly cruel. The key factor of community service is that it must go hand-in-hand with the offense committed by an individual. There have been many instances in which courts invalidate
If you’ve been charged with an offense, it’s in your best interest to speak to an attorney about your options. They can tell you if community service is an option for you and explain what is available.

3 Great Opening Days in Baseball
The Best Opening Days in Baseball History PEANUTS AND CRACKER JACKS Baseball’s opening day has been an American
LOU, COMBS, AND BABE — OH MY! Considered one of the best teams in baseball history, the 1927 New York Yankees started their historic run and 25th season by dismantling the Philadelphia Athletics with a score of 8–3. The slugfest was true to form for the 1927 Yankees, whose players would go on to make up baseball’s famous “Murderers’ Row.” With sluggers like Lou Gehrig, Earle Combs, Babe Ruth, Mark Koenig, Bob Meusel, and Tony Lazzeri, it’s no wonder this team went on to win its fifth championship that year. THE HAMMER TIES BAMBINO For decades, no one could match George Herman Ruth. The Great Bambino’s all-time home run record seemed like an impossible feat of strength — that is, until Henry “Hammerin’ Hank” Aaron came along. On opening day, April 4, 1974, Aaron smashed his 714th homer, tying Babe Ruth for the most home runs ever hit and extending the Atlanta Braves’ shutout lead over the Cincinnati Reds. A few weeks later, Aaron surpassed Ruth’s record, prompting a standing ovation from the crowd.
holiday of sorts since the Cincinnati Red Stockings threw out the first major league pitch in 1869. To celebrate the start of the 150th season of professional baseball, here are three of the best opening days in baseball history. A NEW BEGINNING On April 15, 1947, an opening-day game changed the course of Major League Baseball. On this day, Jackie Robinson started for the Brooklyn Dodgers, becoming the first African-American player to start for a major league baseball team. Robinson’s historic showing was lackluster, going 0-for-3 at the plate and making a solid showing on the infield at first base, but his mere presence in a Dodgers uniform had already broken history. Despite his nationally-recognized skills — Robinson was named MVP of the MLB farm team league in 1946 — the backlash that followed his rise to the pros, both from fans and teammates, was palpable. Still, as well-known sportscaster Howard Cosell said, “Suddenly, it was a new beginning.”
