A $100 Million Milestone Thank You to Our Clients

If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that it’s been a strange year. However, despite the pandemic, it’s been a great year for Landmark Tax Group. Earlier this year, we reached a major milestone. We achieved $100,000,000 in settled taxes for our clients. This is huge! In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, I want our clients to know how thankful we are for the trust they place in us that allowed this great milestone to happen. When people come to us for help, they’re often in challenging situations. They’re stressed out and feel like they have the world on their shoulders. When you owe a significant sum to the IRS, the pressure can be incredible. They may be sending you letters or sending someone to your business, home, or both. These are situations we would never wish on anyone, but nevertheless, sometimes we have to deal with them. Landmark Tax Group is here to help. It’s a big step to make that phone call. We work with many people who have worked with traditional tax relief companies in the past, only to get burned (more on this topic inside this issue). They want answers and relief, and they don’t always get it from the tax relief “experts” they turn to. When they finally call us, we show them what IRS tax help really entails. We get right to the point, as our “Results” column can attest. My point is that I’m thankful they reach out to us. It may have taken them a while, but they got here in the end, and we can find them the relief they’ve been searching for. On a more personal note, and as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I’ve been reflecting on the year. I’m thankful for my family and my children. My daughter turned

1 this year, and my son turned 4. I couldn’t be happier that they and my wife of 12 years are in my life.

Speaking of family, we typically gather with my wife’s side of the family for Thanksgiving. This year, it might not be as large as in years past, but it’s

traditionally a lively gathering. It’s a mix of my wife’s parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and cousins.

“One of the most highly rated and best reviewed businesses on Yelp!” AS SEEN ON:

We do a Thanksgiving lunch rather than a dinner. We like to gather around the table a little earlier in the day. Then, after we’ve gotten our fill, we put on our walking shoes and take a walk around the neighborhood, chatting while getting some fresh air and exercise. It’s a great and relaxing way to spend the day. There’s no rush to be anywhere or do anything. It’s very casual and an opportunity to talk about the past year. What went well? What didn’t? Who made an impact on us? And, of course, what are we thankful for?

Entrepreneur, Inc

We also talk about the year ahead — the good things we expect and hope for in the coming months.

That said, I hope you and your family have a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving!

Top 5 Healthy Life Hacks to Have an Awesome Morning

Take a quick morning walk — and have your meetings on the go. Morning meetings can make us want to fall asleep again. Don’t spend all of them sitting down if you don’t have to! Not only will morning walks help you wake up, but they can also add some extra physical activity to your day.

Getting your day started with coffee isn’t always enough. Sometimes, you need to give yourself an extra boost, especially when you have little energy or trouble focusing. For an awesome start to your day, here are five tips to get you going right off the bat. Wake up 5 minutes early. What’s the power of five minutes? It can be more than you think. Spend this time doing simple breathing exercises or a quick meditation so you can get focused for the rest of the day. If that’s not your style, you can prepare a quick to-do list for your day ahead. Either way, it’s always nice to have a little extra time for yourself without losing too much sleep. Start with green tea, then coffee. A cup of coffee at 7 a.m. can leave you burned out by 10 a.m. Try swapping it with green tea for a more gentle wake-up call. After that, you can brew your favorite coffee to keep you going strong. This practice also might help you consume less caffeine overall!

Write in your journal. Who says you have to journal at the end of the day when you’re

tired and ready to sleep? You can journal in the morning about what happened yesterday and the things you’re looking forward to that day. Journaling can remind you of your daily goals and motivate you to stick to your commitments. Pack your lunch (or snacks!). Staying on track with your goals starts with having the energy to do them. Plan a healthy balance of fats, vegetables, carbohydrates, and proteins. This can be as simple as assembling dips, carrots, wraps, and salads each morning.

It’s time to try these tactics to jump-start your day!

ARE YOU GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TAX RELIEF?

3 Important Questions to Ask a Tax Relief Firm Before Paying Them Any Money

Any time you deal with the IRS or any tax issues or concerns, you want to ensure you get the most sound and up-to-date tax advice. Before committing to a tax resolution firm, you need to know they are professional, knowledgeable, and well-informed about the latest IRS tax laws and procedures. Before agreeing to pay for their services, do some research to determine that you are hiring a firm best equipped to deal with your particular tax problem or concern. Here are three questions you need to ask. Question 1: Are you licensed/legally able to provide me with professional and current tax advice? Many tax relief firms hire unlicensed personnel to handle their clients. They do not have the training, knowledge, or license to legitimately advise you on tax-related issues. Always be sure that you are speaking with an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Tax Attorney — these are the only three credentials authorized to represent taxpayers in front of the IRS. Even better, ask the tax relief agency if any of their tax professionals are former IRS Agents (like at Landmark Tax Group!). Question 2: Are you, in fact, the person who will be handling my case? You don’t want to divulge too much information regarding your specific issue until you are speaking with the person who will actually be handling your case. And you don’t want to disclose any details of your case to

someone who is not trained in tax relief matters. The IRS will not negotiate on a case that is not handled by an EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA, or Tax Attorney, as stated previously, nor will it help your case if you leave it in the hands of someone who is not specifically qualified to deal with the IRS and tax laws. Question 3: How much experience do you have in IRS tax resolution negotiations? Before letting someone represent you in your IRS case, you need to be sure that they have had actual hands-on experience with tax negotiations. Licensing and training are extremely important, but they may not mean much if the person handling your case does not have actual experience in handling tax resolution cases, such as with IRS back taxes or IRS audits. Additionally, an experienced professional will be up to date on the most recent rules and regulations set forth by the IRS. Be sure their practice focuses 100% on IRS tax representation, as opposed to tax preparation, accounting, or bookkeeping. While these three questions are crucial, they aren’t the only questions you need to be asking. LANDMARK RESULTS

A $297,259 IRS Balance With NO Payment Required!

A husband and wife were in IRS collections for several years before they learned about Landmark Tax Group. They owed the IRS $297,259 but were in no position to pay it. The couple spent a lot of time, money, and heartache attempting to resolve their IRS matter on their own. Eventually, they did reach out to “tax relief” firms, but these so-called firms were more than happy to take advantage of the couple, who just needed help.

Finally, they found Landmark Tax Group, and we immediately went to work. We prevented IRS tax levies, protected their income and assets from IRS hands, stopped enforcement action, and gave them the time they needed to get through the pandemic while keeping their home and caring for their unique medical needs. While they owed $297,259 to the IRS, we were able to secure a financial hardship approval from the agency after prevailing in IRS Appeals. This resulted in NO required payments to the IRS — a 100% savings! Want to see more? Visit LandmarkTaxGroup.com/Results to see their IRS Approval Letter, along with dozens of other approval letters. Call us at so we can work together to get your letter on our results page — Tel (949) 260-4770.

Is ‘Glamping’ the Perfect Winter Getaway?

Cabin Fever has Never Been so Stylish

Step 1: Decide which kind of lodging you want. Glamping shelters come in all shapes and sizes depending on the level of comfort you desire on your trip. The most rugged glamping lodgings usually still include a wood- burning stove and a nice comfy bed, whether you opt for a log cabin or a specialized glamping tent (sometimes called a yurt). However, some of the more posh options include amenities like fresh linens, private bathrooms and showers, fully stocked kitchenettes, and even TVs. Step 2: Decide how you want to spend your time. Obviously, the point of glamping is to spend time in the great outdoors with winter activities, such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and other fun snow activities. However, glamping really shines during the frigid evenings. You can retreat indoors, throw some logs in the stove, prepare some hot cocoa or cider, and just watch the snowfall from your window. There’s no right or wrong way to glamp. All that matters is spending time in the wilderness with all the comforts of home — all while feeling refreshed and at peace.

When COVID-19 struck the U.S., travel restrictions had people canceling their vacation plans left and right. This meant that many would-be vacationers had to find some getaways a little closer to home — namely, camping trips and their fancier cousin, glamping trips. If you haven’t heard of “glamping” before, it’s essentially glamorous camping. You have access to the beautiful, rugged outdoors as well as all the comforts of home. While traditional winter camping certainly wouldn’t be a relaxing getaway for most people, glamping during the winter months can give you access to the peace of the outdoors like you’ve never experienced before without so much as a shiver or sniffle. If you’ve decided to make glamping your go-to method of escape from the cabin fever that besets us all during the cold, dark winter days, you might be thinking: How can I make sure I have the best glamping experience possible? Luckily, there are a few tips and tricks you can apply to any glamping location to ensure that your time away from home is just as relaxing as that Caribbean cruise would have been.
