the most astounding investment opportunity in this decade. Not your money – your time! Think about it! Sincerely,
believes that their business will grow without a substantial investment of time, they will be disappointed. If someone believes that someone in their organization will build it for them, they will be disappointed. The only way for people to get hurt in Melaleuca is if they do not go to work or if they spend their time doing the wrong activities. If they do not invest their time adding names to their contact list and making approaches, they will miss out on
to them. This could not be further from the truth. Our Executive, National, Corporate, and Presidential Directors reap those large incomes because of the time they have invested in doing effective business- building activities. A person can be “busy” doing ineffective activities, and there is very little return on that investment. But there is tremendous return on time invested in effective activities. The most effective activity in Melaleuca is enroling new customers. The second most effective activity is helping those customers who are willing to work to enrol new customers. The results of investing in business-building activities are enormous! The financial returns will come back month after month, year after year. But here’s the rub: you must first make the investment before you receive the return! Those who do not make the investment of their time today will receive no return tomorrow. It is not an investment of money; it is an investment of time – time spent building a contact list, contacting customers and setting up appointments, making in-home presentations, and helping your organization find and enrol new customers. Melaleuca is a solid investment! Invest your time well and you will get a marvelous return! Do not invest your time, and there will be no return. Now, how can someone get hurt? If someone somehow

profitable business opportunity for anyone who is willing to throw themselves into building a Melaleuca business. I do not use the two words “immensely profitable” lightly. I know of no business or financial opportunity that gives a better return on investment than a Melaleuca business. Not even close! The investment of time, however, is another story – and that is where someone can get hurt. Not because of an investment of too much time, but because of too little time. The potential return on the time invested in Melaleuca is enormous – but that is where the problem is. Many people do not understand the concept of return on time invested. Some believe that the tremendous incomes that our Melaleuca leaders earn each year are the result of some “program” or unique feature in the Compensation Plan or something that just happened

Throughout Melaleuca’s history we have always said people can never be hurt in their relationship with Melaleuca. But now I realize that there is a way people can get hurt. Oh yes, we have built in all the safeguards that you would examine to determine the level of risk. There is no dollar investment to start a Melaleuca business. We have strong policies to prevent inventory loading. There are no “breakaways.” No one gets “passed up” by other Marketing Executives in their organization. Our products have an unconditional money-back guarantee; we stand behind every product. We do not allow unauthorized sales literature or exaggerated earnings claims or unsubstantiated product claims. We are financially sound. We have never missed paying a bonus check, and we have never even been a single day late sending out bonus checks. Never! Not once! Our Marketing Executives are prospering! The right way to use social media in your business. How to Go Social M elaleuca is a business centered on relationships. The core of what we do involves connecting with others, understanding their wants and needs, and finding ways to help them improve their lives. Now more than ever, our unique business model aligns perfectly with current consumer trends. A growing number of consumers are tuning out traditional advertising and relying instead on recommendations from others. A recent Nielsen study found that 84 percent of us trust word-of- mouth recommendations from friends and family over any other source . Forbes magazine is calling this trend the “birth of the referral economy.” More than ever, we’re looking to our friends for advice on where to shop, eat, travel, and so much more. This makes Melaleuca a natural fit! Our business is built on word- of-mouth referrals from smart, engaged consumers—like you. After all, every Melaleuca customer is referred by another Melaleuca customer. And one of the key resources you have in a referral economy is social media. When done right, social media can help build your contact list, identify needs, and generate interest . But like any tool, there is a right and a wrong way to use social media. 3 Keys to Success on Social Media 1. Strengthen Relationships Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat help you connect with friends, share information and ideas, and meet other people with similar interests and goals. They’re a great way to stay connected with what’s happening in the lives of those you love. Social media also helps you better identify needs and goals. You can go online for ideas on how you can better approach someone offline. For example, your friend who posts about training for a half marathon might be interested in Melaleuca’s sports nutrition products. Your old coworker whose toddler used their creative skills on

the new sofa will definitely want to know about Sol-U-Mel Stain Remover . And your neighbor who’s looking for part-time work might be interested in Melaleuca’s member referral program. You can also use social media to build your contact list and meet people who have similar lifestyles and goals. Social media platforms like Facebook, Meetup, and others have a wide variety of groups dedicated to various hobbies and interests, whether you’re into cycling, knitting, organic farming, cooking, photography, community service, day trading, and so much more. These groups are a springboard for building relationships and identifying needs. While your first connection might be online, the goal is to create a relationship offline. 2. Share Product Stories If you go to an amazing new restaurant, chances are you’re going to tell your friends about it. The same goes for a major sale at your favorite clothing store or a movie you think they’d enjoy. It’s normal for us to share information and resources we think will benefit those we care about. In fact, it would be kind of weird if you didn’t tell your friends about the amazing cleaner that saved your carpet from a giant grape juice stain. And few things are as powerful as your personal experience. Skeptics can try to dispute studies and benefits, but they can’t deny your personal experience. For example, if taking the Peak Performance Pack every day has given you increased energy and improved your blood work, no one can really argue that fact. This doesn’t mean that what happens to you is guaranteed to happen to everyone, but it gives potential customers a tangible example of what is possible. Do not exaggerate claims or share anecdotes that directly or indirectly claim to treat or cure disease or medical conditions. You’ll find it’s most effective to share experiences that the majority of other customers are also likely to experience. Just remember, when sharing a product story you don’t want to include a “call to action,” such as telling readers to call you, visit a website, or make a purchase. Sales tactics like these come across as disingenuous and distract your readers from the very real benefits you’ve experienced. Simply share your experience and excitement.
A Good Product Story 1. Shares personal experience 2. Includes the product brand name 3. Has photos when possible or applicable 4. Doesn’t mention Melaleuca by name or include a call to action 3. Create Interest Social media is a great way to create interest in Melaleuca. The key is to help people see how building a Melaleuca business has enhanced your life. Maybe you paid off your auto loan two years early or took your family on your first real vacation. Social media is a great place to share milestones like these and when people hear about all the good things happening in your life, it’s only natural for them to be curious. It helps them see the real-life benefits of a Melaleuca business. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out the #EnhanceLives posts on Melaleuca’s Instagram feed. Think about what a post like this would be for your family. How has Melaleuca enhanced your life? Remember that specific events and milestones are more powerful than sweeping, general statements. And remember, the focus of these posts is how your life has improved. Avoid telling others how to purchase the product in the post and avoid using the company’s name. Remember that the key is to create interest, not gain a reputation as the friend who floods others’ social feeds with posts about products or working from home. Your friends aren’t following you on social media so they can read nonstop posts about your business. In fact, most of them will begin hiding your posts or even unfollow you if you behave this way.

2. Making It All About You Just because you aren’t having a conversation in real time doesn’t mean your interactions in social media should be one- sided. If you’re going to form real relationships and identify others’ goals and needs, then you need to ask questions and look for ways you can help. Get to know your contacts both online and in person. Spend as much time listening as you do talking; this includes liking and commenting on others’ posts on a regular basis. And never approach someone with an opportunity based on how it will benefit you. 3. Focusing on Money, Melaleuca, or Getting Enrollments This is something you see representatives from MLM companies do frequently. They post pictures of their checks or that of a high-earner in their organization, along with a post that says something like, “You too can make $50,000 with Yum Shakes! Ask me how!” While seeing a check with a lot of zeroes behind the number can be very impressive, it’s not the kind of marketing that attracts lifelong customers or business builders. Nor does it reflect a company whose goal is to enhance lives. Rather than focusing on money, focus on what your extra income has allowed you to do. As I said earlier, sharing genuine, heartfelt stories is both appropriate and powerful. Just make sure the focus of these stories is how the quality of your life improved and not about a big check you received or getting people to sign up. You never want to reference income, push the company, or include a direct call to action. See the examples posted on Melaleuca’s Instagram feed for ideas on how to do this right. How to Get Started I’m a huge fan of the power of social media. It’s an awesome tool! And I know it can help you grow your business. The key is using it in the right way. Try starting small with just one or two product or lifestyle posts each week. Remember the three keys to a successful post. For additional help, review Melaleuca’s guidelines for building your business online at eu.melaleuca.com in the Download & Print center. There’s never been a better time to share Melaleuca, and social media is just one of the many tools that can help you enhance lives.

3 Pitfalls to Avoid 1. Being Disingenuous
Imagine an old friend from high school, someone you haven’t talked to in years, reaches out to you on Facebook. You’re excited to reconnect. You can see from their profile picture that your children are roughly the same age. Maybe they even live in a community not far from you. You remember all the good memories from high school and you think how fun it would be to get together for coffee and catch up. Now imagine that same friend, only minutes after you’ve accepted their friend request, includes you in a mass invite to her online nail party. How do you feel now? Are still you excited to catch up or are you starting to feel a little wary? Maybe you’re even questioning the motive behind that friend request. One of the worst mistakes you can make on social media is forgetting the social aspect. The whole point of sites like Facebook and Instagram is to interact and connect with those you care about. And we can all tell when someone isn’t genuinely interested in our life or needs. The same goes for joining group pages or events. The goal should be to meet other people with similar interests, not spamming the group with unsolicited advertising.

CRITICAL BUSINESS-BUILDING ACTIVITIES
Melaleuca presents EUROPEAN
If you want to achieve your goals with Melaleuca, you need to focus on and repeatedly do these seven activities day after day and week after week.
1 Build Your Contact List
ACHIEVEMENT LEADERS The European Achievement Leaders are those businesses with the highest contribution index. The contribution index is the product of the net increase in their Organisational Preferred Customers during the prior 60 days, multiplied by the number of each leader’s personally enrolled Directors, plus their number of personally enrolled customers. Membership of this elite group is reviewed bi-monthly. In order to be recognised as a member of this team, leaders must submit a picture to Melaleuca.
Set Appointments 2
I want you to notice something about the Seven Critical Activities, the first four in particular. You cannot do Critical Activity 3, Share Overviews, before you do Critical Activity 2 or Critical Activity 1. That’s not how it works. These activities are in this order because that’s the order you’ll need to do them in. Before you can hold a Strategy Session, you need to present Melaleuca: An Overview and enrol a customer. And before you can do that, you’ll need to invite someone you know to your Overview. There’s a reason the first Critical Activity is not Set Appointments. Before you invite someone to your Overview, you should already have a relationship. The first thing to do is add their name to your contact list and begin establishing a relationship. When the time is right, you can invite them to attend a Melaleuca Overview and make a decision about Melaleuca. We are a “warm market” company. The right way to build your business is with people who know you, like you, and trust you. So before you approach someone to set an appointment, take the time to build a genuine relationship with them. As you help them reach their goals, you’ll find that those personal relationships can be just as rewarding – if not more so – as your income from your Melaleuca business.

“I have been thinking and analysing for a long time, why Melaleuca? We work and try everywhere, but unfortunately not everywhere our work and efforts are rewarded with dignity... Melaleuca fairly rewards everyone for their efforts!” - Tamara says. Melaleuca is an online shop with high quality products, each of which has been developed and manufactured to stand out from the competition. Attracting new customers is no mean feat, as the new Senior Director says: “All we have to do is share what we like and use on a daily basis. It’s profitable for everyone - as a customer and also as a business builder! And now, in a time of pandemic, it’s more important than ever to shop safely online, save time and have products delivered to your doorstep without leaving your home.” “Besides great products, Melaleuca is all about people and their relationships. This is my WHY? I am very happy with our team of like-minded people. Together we are a force! We work together and we relax together. I believe that we will experience many great moments together with Melaleuca! Everything is just beginning!”.
to help them start their adult lives. Besides, I am aware that thanks to Melaleuca, I have the chance to live a happy and independent life”. Thanks to the decision Jagoda no longer has to work full-time, she has time for her family and her little children because they need her the most. She now works from home, pursues her goals, dreams and makes her dreams come true. “My life used to be monotonous - work, home and so on every day - with no big plans or prospects for the future. That changed when I saw how much I was able to achieve and how - by helping others. According to Jagoda, the key to success is the company’s mission, which is to help others achieve their goals, but also the unique products that should be a permanent fixture in every home. Jagoda says she only works with those who want to and can - no excuses! She conducts meetings with customers and focuses primarily on helping and working with them. She tries to help new customers choose products based on their needs, but she also gives presentations during which she answers questions from those interested. “I am grateful every day for what I have already achieved and that I have given myself the chance to live a peaceful life. I already know that for me and my family this is a company for life,” concludes Jagoda.
I wish everyone to take action and you will not have to wait long for success! - Tamara concludes.
Jagoda is a mum of two gorgeous little kids Mia and Gabriel and soon they will be welcoming a new family member to their little family. She has been living abroad for 8 years, where most of the time she did manual labour. She came across Melaleuca by chance, thanks to her mother who showed her the products and the benefits of being a customer. “At first, I didn’t believe in the business, but I decided to become a customer and test the products - after all, with the Customer Satisfaction Guarantee I don’t risk anything,” says Jagoda. That’s how her journey started – in July 2017 she decided that she wanted to change something in her life! The newly advanced Senior Director 4 says that her “Why?” is very simple: “They are my children, who give me daily motivation and strength to fight for a better tomorrow. I do this first and foremost for them,
Tamara runs her business together with her husband Igoris. Before she came to Melaleuca, she had tried her hand at various MLM companies for over 20 years. These rich experiences allow her to make a fair comparison between what she experiences now and what she experienced in the past. With every day she works with Melaleuca, she makes sure that she has made the right choice. Above all, she enjoys the continuous development opportunities and the increasing earnings of both herself and her business partners. During her collaboration with Melaleuca, for example, she received a Car Bonus, which made it much easier for Tamara to buy her dream car.

Similar to all of the mechanical wheels that make the modern world function, there is another wheel that exists in our lives that is just as important. At Melaleuca, we call it the wellness wheel. Like its physical counterpart, the wellness wheel improves lives by making them easier, getting them moving faster and further, and lifting them higher than is possible without it. But in order to do this, you have to understand the different aspects of the wellness wheel and keep them well balanced. The wellness wheel consists of seven interconnected aspects of wellness.
• Physical • Environmental • Financial • Social • Intellectual • Spiritual • Emotional
Wellness in Every Aspect of Life There is a popular argument among academics and dinner-table scholars that circles back around every so often. That argument is trying to answer the question: what is the greatest, or most important, invention of all time? What is your answer? Do you side with the Gutenbergs saying that the printing press is the most important? Or maybe you agree with Alexander Fleming supporters claiming that penicillin and other antibiotics reign supreme? But what then of the compass? Steel? Domesticated horses? Electric lights? The internet? While all of these are exceptionally important, perhaps the winner might be something much simpler – the wheel. The ancient Mesopotamian culture is credited with the invention of the wheel with the earliest known wooden wheel dating back to 3130 BC. This implies that there could have been thousands of years of civilized cultures that were without a wheel. Can you imagine life without a wheel? It’s difficult to comprehend. One of the reasons the wheel might be the greatest invention of all time is because it truly makes life better. Objects are easier to move and can, therefore, be moved faster, farther, and higher than without a wheel.
As you learn about these seven aspects, evaluate your life and see which one or ones you might give a little more attention to bring greater balance and ease into your life.
When your body is healthy and strong, you enjoy physical wellness. This includes those things you can see (such as having a healthy weight and a strong physique) and what you feel (like energy when you need it, freedom from joint pain, strong immune health, and healthy blood pressure). Each of the more than 250 Melaleuca products is designed to support good physical health. That support can be direct, such as the benefits you will experience from the Peak Performance Pack and Access ® Bars , or it can be indirect, like EcoSense cleaning products that are free from harmful chemicals that damage your lungs over time. Because every Melaleuca product is inspired by nature, you can be sure that it’s the best for your body. In fact, you’ll never find anything on par with Melaleuca products. That’s because there is simply nothing else like them available. Since 1985, we’ve been perfecting them through creative ingenuity, solid scientific studies, a passion for your health, and, of course, nature. Each product is in a class of its own and only available at Melaleuca. And just like a wheel makes life better, each masterfully crafted Melaleuca product can help you live your best life.

Just like it’s hard to imagine life without a wheel, can you picture life without nature? Even if it’s simply seeing a bird soaring above the treetops or feeling a fresh breeze as you crest the final hill on your favorite trail, nature and our environment are supremely important. Our lives are forever bound to the world around us, so it makes sense that we should protect what we have. It is impossible to feel completely well as long as we live in an environment that is compromised. Melaleuca is mindful of nature and the environment, and we work hard to care for it. From pioneering ultra-concentrated products that use less plastic to eliminating harmful ingredients (such as phosphates, chlorine bleach, and ammonia) to using energy-efficient production facilities, we strive to care for Mother Nature. You are an integral part of this care plan. Did you know that by choosing Melaleuca products, you have already helped save over 117 000 tons of plastic, 174 million liters of fuel, and more than 635 000 tons of greenhouse emissions?¹ Caring for our world allows everyone to experience the peace, comfort, and joy that only nature can provide. And those feelings are important parts of experiencing a well-rounded life. Learning is essential to our existence. Where would you be if you had never learned to read and write? If you had never learned how to drive? Or if you had never learned the skills required to provide for your family? Just like healthy foods provide the nourishment our bodies need, continuous learning provides the nourishment our minds and lives need. One of Melaleuca’s primary missions has to do with continually feeding your mind. Recall our Mission Statement: To enhance the lives of those we touch by helping people reach their goals. Gaining education and skills is an important part of helping you reach your goals SM . That’s one of the reasons you have so many opportunities to receive coaching and provide coaching to others. Those opportunities help you to learn social and business skills that will benefit every facet of your life. Add to that the knowledge you can gain as you learn about how Melaleuca products help your body, your home, and the environment and you have a wealth of education at your fingertips. There is so much available learning material, you could probably receive a Melaleuca degree!
Humans are meant to be social—so much so that famed psychologist Abraham Maslow included love and belonging as the third most important aspect in his hierarchy of needs. Recently, studies have been conducted that show the harmful effects of isolation and perceived isolation. Dr. Louise Hawkley, a senior research scientist at the University of Chicago, has found that loneliness can affect more than just a person’s mental health. Evidence shows that social isolation can lead to depression, poor sleep quality, impairment to thought processes and the ability to make informed choices, cognitive decline, reduced cardiovascular functions, and reduced immunity at every stage of life.² These effects will certainly reduce an overall feeling of wellness. Melaleuca can help here as well. That’s because a Melaleuca business is a social business. From the first day you switch stores to shop with Melaleuca or the first day you choose to start your own Melaleuca business, you are surrounded by people who care. As part of the Melaleuca family, you are among those who believe in an abundance mindset. That is, we believe that helping others is the best way to help ourselves and that there is no limit to how many of us can succeed. As you participate in your team’s ongoing education, the many coaching and celebratory events Melaleuca hosts, and the opportunity to share Melaleuca’s amazing products with the world, you can enjoy a richer social life. You will make friends to last a lifetime as you teach the abundance mindset to others and help them reach their goals as well. Stress is something we all experience. When we do, there is no denying that it reduces our ability to live our best life. In fact, a study conducted by the American Psychological Association shows that living with regular stress can cause problems in all of your body’s major systems.³ For years, studies have shown that one of the biggest and most persistent sources of stress is money. And while money by itself may not present a path to happiness and wellness, reducing the stress from a lack of money certainly can. Financial wellness is an important area of overall wellness, and Melaleuca can help in that aspect of your life as well. Whether it’s a balanced budget, a healthy savings account, a plan to reduce debt, or simply access to a plan B if needed, Melaleuca’s revenue-sharing plan allows you and your family the opportunity to earn reliable supplemental income that can help reduce stress. And reduced stress helps balance your life so you can focus on the things that matter most.
Environmental Wellness Caring for our world allows everyone to experience the peace, comfort, and joy that only nature can provide.
Social Wellness
As part of the Melaleuca family, you are among those who believe in an abundance mindset. We believe that helping others is the best way to help ourselves and that there is no limit to how many of us can succeed.

Have you ever stopped to consider how your spiritual wellness affects other aspects of your personal wellness? According to researchers at the Mayo Clinic, “Most studies have shown that religious involvement and spirituality are associated with better health outcomes, including greater longevity, coping skills, and health-related quality of life (even during terminal illness) and less anxiety, depression, and suicide.”⁴ While religious and spiritual practices and beliefs may differ widely, there are a few basic tenets that can be beneficial to you regardless of your religious affiliation. Forbes magazine reports, “Words that are often associated with religious beliefs include connectedness, hope, optimism, trust, and purpose. All of which have been shown to boost mental health. Compassion, forgiveness, and gratefulness are also qualities that are strongly associated with individuals who are spiritual and religious. Practicing these qualities is thought to be associated with decreased stress and increased resiliency.”⁵ Similarly, Dr. Harold Koenig of Duke University suggests that as people pray, regardless of who or what they pray to, and ask that higher being for guidance, they feel a sense of control over their own situation, helping them better cope with depression and anxiety.⁶ But you may be wondering, “How does Melaleuca help with my spiritual well- being?” From products that help you feel better to the ability to earn a few hundred dollars extra or more a month Melaleuca can help you experience more time freedom. That time freedom will impact every other aspect of your life as you will be better able to be more present with your kids, family, and friends, and you will be able to spend your time the way that is most satisfying for you. Maybe that means becoming more involved in your religion, maybe it means learning to forgive someone who has hurt you in the past, or it could be simply connecting with someone or something outside of yourself that allows you to more fully feel love, compassion, and gratitude in your life. Whatever your religious views and practices, Melaleuca can help you enjoy the freedom to experience them more fully in a hectic world where a religious connection can bring much needed peace and comfort. What are emotions? Have you ever thought about that? Emotions are complex biological states that result in physical and psychological changes associated with your nervous system. These changes are triggered by thoughts, feelings, and environmental responses and typically include feelings of pleasure or displeasure. Look back over that definition and you’ll see that emotions are the result of pretty much all other factors in life – our inner health and well-being as well as our responses to conditions outside of ourselves. What this means is that if you are looking to balance your emotional wellness, one of the best ways to do that is to balance the other six areas of the wellness wheel. But if you’re looking for a quick way to boost your emotional state, go help someone else. Numerous studies show the many benefits that you can experience by serving someone. In fact, it’s hard to not be happy when you are helping someone. And offering that help is what Melaleuca is all about. From the products to the Compensation Plan to the professional development – it’s all with the goal of helping others. So go do good, and feel your emotional wellness soar.
Spiritual Wellness
Melaleuca can help you experience more time freedom that you can use to more fully pursue a spiritual connection.
Balance Your Wellness Wheel
As you evaluate your personal wellness wheel and find the balance that is best for you, you’ll be amazed at the improvements you’ll experience. You can feel healthier, your days can become less stressful, and your life can be richer. Melaleuca is unique because it offers meaningful solutions for each of the seven areas in your wheel – if you choose to utilize them. But many of the products we trust to clean our homes are filled with ingredients that could be dangerous. EcoSense is committed to the safety of your family. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between a clean home and a safe home. All our products start from ingredients inspired by nature and proven by science. Agnieszka Dambska-Wardęga started her journey with Melaleuca in July 2017 and is a great example of dreams coming true. Although she has already achieved Executive Director 3 status by this time, she has no intention of slowing down and is setting her sights on more goals for the future. We are probably all familiar with the saying “Happiness must be helped”. Agnieszka is certainly familiar with it, as she helps happiness on a daily basis, and the result is, among other things, that since joining Melaleuca her organisation has grown to around 2000 customers. The happy mother and grandmother owes her success to systematic work and passing on her knowledge to the rest of the team. She is aware that everyone is different, everyone has a different “Why?” and based on this she tries to take an individual approach to all her customers who want to grow and build a business. “Working with Melaleuca allows me to grow, realise my dreams and meet great people on my way. This makes my work so exciting and gives me a lot of pleasure every day,” says Agnieszka Dambska -Wardęga, Marketing Executive of the Year AGNIESZKA DAMBSKA -WARDĘGA 2021 EUROPE MARKETING EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR

sacrificed a half hour of sleep instead. I started waking up 30 minutes earlier every morning. That gave me 30 minutes more before my kids even opened their eyes.”
Paige says. “It’s really easy to allow the wrong things to take your time – like watching TV or even cleaning up around the house – when you’re putting off doing something scary. Remember, your discipline is totally up to you. It’s all you’ve got. At home, you don’t have your boss telling you what to do.
Executive Director 4 Jeanie Paige McWhorter
That extra time allows Jeanie Paige to get her nonnegotiable work done, which includes learning new skills and getting herself in the right mindset, as well as scheduling out her priorities for the day. Did you notice how similar Jeanie Paige’s morning schedule is to KimMcCauley’s? Whether you plan by the hour or by the week, having your priorities scheduled helps you stay motivated to do the Critical

You are the boss! Your mindset determines a lot of how your day goes.”
Even how you dress for the day can affect how prepared you feel to connect with others, make approaches, and work with your team. Executive Director 2 Jessi Harris doesn’t always put

on business attire, but what she puts on does fit with her life and allows her to be comfortable as she goes about her day. “If someone says, ‘Hey, Jessi, can you jump onto an online meeting with me?’ and I’m in my pajamas still, I won’t feel ready,” she says. “But if I’ve taken a few extra minutes to get myself ready, I’ll feel much better. And when you feel better, your confidence – your posture – is going to be better.”
Activities at every opportunity. Without a schedule – and a confident mindset – it’s way too easy to let small distractions take the place of getting the important work done.

Plan for quality time. “When you’re home, there are a million different things going on at once,” Jeanie
Love the short commute? Working from home comes with some incredible upsides you won’t want to give up. Think greater flexibility, a workspace just feet away, and, best of all, being right there with your family. For many Melaleuca Marketing Executives in particular, this is everything they’re working for.
“At home there’s no clocking in and out,” Executive Director 2 Kellee Wip says. “You set the pace, and there’s no commute. You’re at home. There’s a huge peace of mind that comes with being home.” Those upsides, of course, don’t come without hard work. “When we work from home, we get to dictate our own schedule,” Executive Director 4 Jeanie Paige McWhorter says, “but that doesn’t make the work any easier. It just gives us more freedom to reposition and distribute the time that we allow within each of our different priorities.” And since you are at home and so close to family, it takes lots of extra effort to still get all that work done without constantly being distracted. Setting boundaries, making a plan to get the most important activities done, and consistently following that plan are absolute musts. How you work from home successfully is ultimately up to you – but here are some tips from some expert Melaleuca business builders.
Your circumstances may not allow you to copy Kim’s daily schedule. You may or may not do your best under an hour-by-hour schedule. But you can follow her example. As someone who works from home, what changes do you need to make in order to get the important work done for your health and your business – without distractions or excuses? Most importantly, what will getting that nonnegotiable work done consistently do for you and your business?
Put it on the calendar. No matter where you’re at in your Melaleuca journey, doing the Seven Critical Business- Building Activities consistently is vital to growing your business. Being consistent requires careful attention to how you use your time and what you complete each day and each week. It may take making changes too. When Corporate Director 3 Kimberly McCauley decided to get serious about improving her business and lifestyle, she began by overhauling her entire daily schedule. She developed the habit of getting up before 5:00 a.m. every morning and turned the time between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. into her personal business time. She scheduled her workouts for 7:00 a.m. – no excuses! – and set aside the 8:00 a.m. hour to get herself and her family ready for the day. At 9:00 a.m. she holds an online meeting with her team and dedicates that hour to coaching. At 10:00 a.m. – that’s it! It’s family time.
What will you give up to get ahead?
“To get a result, you’re going to have to make a sacrifice of some sort,” Jeanie Paige says. “Maybe you sacrifice being in your comfort zone. Maybe you sacrifice a little sleep. “I never wanted to give up time with my kids. That’s what I was fighting to get more of! So I

develop and for each personal customer I needed to enrol. The kids got to pull a sticky note off the wall every time I achieved one of those. They had a great incentive, of course – we were going to go on a vacation together! So they wanted to rip off those sticky notes. “In fact, now they’re pretty quick to call me out when I’m not doing my work!” Make the most. Getting the results you want as you work from home will take some sacrifice on your part and some understanding on your family’s part. You’ll have to learn to set your schedule, show up for yourself, and do the right activities consistently. You’ll also need to be patient with yourself. “It was hard to live up to the expectations I had for myself working at home,” Jeanie Paige says. “I learned to get my ‘nonnegotiables’ done first so I could give myself grace if my day went crazy. One of the most important things you can do is allow yourself grace.” There’s no question: this opportunity to build a Melaleuca business is an incredible one indeed. As you take the time and put in the effort, you’ll find that the greater freedom you were looking for to be with your family – plus greater capacity to enhance the lives of others – will be within your reach. JC
at practice. If you’ve only got a little time, you’re going to use that time much more efficiently. Busy people get things done!” It’s probably no surprise that Kellee rarely uses her home office. She doesn’t want that space to be the only space where she can get things done. “If you have to have all the stars aligned – sitting in your office with everything perfect and quiet just to be able to work,” she explains, “you’re probably going to have more excuses not to work than reasons to just make it happen. “In fact, I always tell my team they’ve got an advantage when they’re busy. They’ve only got a fewminutes tomake it happen versus spending an hour thinking about making that call!” Find the fit with your family. If you work from home, whether it’s for your full-time job or your part-time Melaleuca business, you know that the lines between work and family life can often get blurred. It takes extra effort to set the boundaries so that you have the time to work undisturbed and the time to put the work down and be 100 percent present for your family. The key to getting your family’s cooperation is letting them in on what you’re doing. Show them what you’re doing. Tell them what your goals are! And find ways for them to contribute to your success. If they have a stake in what you’re trying to accomplish, they’ll support you all the way there.
“In my experience,” Jessi Harris says, “business builders, especially those with young kids, often feel guilty that they’re putting an hour or two into their business when the kids or their husband want their attention for different things. My response is help them understand . Sit down with your family at the beginning, plan your dream board with them, and help them understand that by allowing you to put in the time, and by everyone working together to help, you’ll all achieve your goals together. The whole family needs to buy into what you’re doing, because they won’t understand otherwise. “I encouraged one of my team members to do just that. She sat down with her kids and told them that she was working really hard to achieve Senior Director. And once she did, the promise was that they were going to Disneyland. She let her kids clip out photos and put them on her dream board. Now, when she’s going into her office, she can say, ‘I have to go work on Disneyland.’ And her girls get excited!” “When the kids are home,” Kellee Wip says, “the key for me is to set clear expectations. If I’m working, then I need that uninterrupted time. But I also schedule time that’s dedicated to helping them with homework or with challenges they may be having. I make sure that the kids and I have time to get everything done. “When I was making my big push to reach Senior Director, I actually had sticky notes for each personal Director I needed to

That’s my hour – reaching out, following up, setting appointments, adding names to my contact list.” Jeanie Paige’s daughters do competitive cheerleading, and she spends a fair amount of time shuttling them to their practices. “I maximize the time I have after I drop them off,” she says. “I’ll schedule my calls for then. I’m in the car anyway; why not be talking to someone?” “Many of my team members are building their businesses in the nooks and crannies,” Kellee Wip says. “Getting to the grocery store and making one call before going in. Standing outside the gym while the kids are
Scheduling what you know you need to accomplish during the coming week also helps you stay focused and work more confidently – giving you that “no excuses” mindset. “I have an accountability sheet,” Kellee says. “I complete it every single week to make sure I’m doing the activities I need to get done for my personal productivity and taking the time I need to spend with my team.” While Kellee doesn’t meticulously plan her daily schedule, she still builds very intentionally. “I look at my week: what do I need to get done?” she says. “Sometimes the work I need to get done will all happen on Monday and Tuesday, and I’ll have the rest of the week for other life stuff. Other weeks,
and your mindset is 10 times healthier. But the real power is in doing it consistently. We hear it all the time – consistency over intensity. Results come from those small daily habits.” “What works for you?” Kellee asks. “What works for your family? What’s going to make this something you can stick with week after week? Consistency is key. Whatever your schedule looks like, make sure it allows you to consistently do the Critical Activities week after week.” Build in the cracks.
