What a blessing this year has been! I wish we could gather together to share the hundreds of testimonies I receive each year. In these pages, you will read just a few of these stories… God is still in the business of changing lives through the ministries of Word of Life around the world. What a mighty God we serve! Let me tell you how God used COVID to work in one restricted access country where Word of Life has ministry. Before COVID, we had 14 students from the capital city coming to learn English. Today, because of the COVID shutdowns, we have 300 students from all over the country, and all because we can offer our English classes online. More than 100 of these students are participating in our weekly discipleship program. Praise be to God!! God has used this pandemic to stretch our vision, and that has caused greater ministry impact than we could have ever imagined!! I want to thank you, our partner, in this venture. Because without your generous support and prayers, this would not be possible. As you read these stories, please pray with us and for those who have experienced life change through the impact Word of Life is having around the world.

Life Change Knows No Bounds: A Testimony from Word of Life Papua New Guinea K imberly grew up in a peaceful environment until her parents passed away in 2005. She is the 3rd born in a family of 5. Immediately after their passing, Kimberly was separated from her siblings and forced to go and live with her uncle. At only 5 years of age, she didn’t fully understand what was going on and why so much change was happening. Unfortunately, her life was filled with mistreatment by her guardians. By fifth grade, she became pregnant as a result of rape by her uncle. She had no idea what was going on or what to do. Thanks to the kindness of one of her teachers, Kimberly made it through her pregnancy and gave birth to a baby girl in 2015. But Kimberly knew she could not take care of a baby at her young age. She made the tough decision to give up her baby… to her teacher who helped her through her pregnancy. After years of coming face to face with hatred, cruelty, bitterness, and abuse, all Kimberly wanted was peace, joy, and love. Now 21, Kimberly was invited to come to Word of Life Camp by a church mother and was granted a scholarship to make it possible. On the first day of camp, she found Jesus! She exclaimed, “That was the best thing that happened to me the moment I invited Jesus into my life.” She finally found joy that fills the soul, the pure love that only God can provide, and the peace that she had been searching for.

Life Change at Word of Life Bible Institute

Last year, Word of Life Bible Institute Students in both New York and Florida shared the Gospel with 140,000+ people Due to the pandemic, these students became very creative in sharing their story of life change, including:

Thanks to your support, God is creating life-changing experiences through the Word of Life Bible Institute students For many students, this is the first time they have shared the Gospel! Their churches and Christian schools aren’t teaching it, and it’s not a priority in many households. But, every student at the Word of Life Bible Institute is taught how to share their testimony and the Gospel with others.

“I just started classes at Word of Life Bible Institute - Florida Campus, an amazing opportunity I am truly thankful to have. When I got here, I already was familiar with many of the staff and students, and I thought I had this year written down in the books from the start. Then classes started. Every day I learn new things about who I am, who God is, and what those things mean. I study deep into the depths of Galatians, travel back in time to Genesis, dwell on the truth found in Theology, and each day, I blow my mind. And it does not stop there. I was once told half of the experience of Word of Life was the people, the growth inspired by them, and the friends made in them. Every day I meet new people, have new conversations, laugh harder than ever before, and learn what true friendship is.”
