The temperature of the flue gases shall be determined before installing the heat reclaimer. The

Units with serial numbers lower than serial # U 334 601 require annual oil service. Remove the back as described under “In Case of Power Failure” section. Then remove fan blade and six (6) screws that secure heat shield to back. Clean dust away from oil ports (See Figure 6) and oil motor with two (2) drops of SAE 20 light motor oil, one in each oil port.

Spot

Operate soot scraper at least daily for wood and coal burning and at least once a week for oil burning as a safety precaution against flue stoppage. Check stack vent yearly before each heating season begins. This should be done by a qualified gas heat serviceman.
