Study Shows How to Relieve OA Pain In a medical study, 83 patients with osteoarthritis were assigned to receive either hands-on physical therapy (treatment group) or a pill that actually did nothing to help their pain without them knowing (placebo group). Sarah Winder Physical Therapist, DPT, OCS Clinic: Kent East Hill

She’s a Seattle native who loves spending time outdoors in the Pacific Northwest playground. She’s also a runner, baker and crafter. Sarah’s educational aspirations took her to Ithaca, NY, where she studied Exercise Science as an undergraduate student and Physical Therapy as a graduate student. In 2013, she graduated from Ithaca College with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. At OPT, Sarah loves making an impact on the Kent community through one-on-one patient care in a fun and engaging environment.

The Vestibular Disorders Association www.vestibular.org is announcing “Balance Awareness Week” for Sept 18- 21, 2017. Additionally, The Fall Prevention Network www.StopFalls.org is promoting their “Stop Falls” awareness week for Sept 22 – 28, 2017.
