London Language Institute University Pathway Program
What is the London Language Institute Pathway Program?
London Language Institute is proud to introduce a unique University Pathway Program for students seeking entrance into college and university. LLI has developed a curriculum that prepares students for university academic courses that are taught in English. LLI has partnerships with local high schools as well as a variety colleges and universities across Canada and into the United States.
Advantages of London Language Institute Pathway program
1) Students not only have access to one school but all our partner universities (some of the top schools in Canada).
2) Students may change their selection of school (if they meet the standard of the new school) during their study at London Language Institute. 3) Students that do not meet their ideal university requirement, will be suggested alternative schools. London Language Institute also provides programs to upgrade and increase the GPA of the student while studying at London Language Institute so they may reapply to their preferred universities when they are in Canada.
4) Students will have their conditional offers in hand prior to finishing high school or leaving their home country.
The SIMPLE Process to Success
1) The student simply chooses one of London Language Institute’s university partners, completes a simple and short online form with their high school transcript and submits to London Language Institute for a FREE assessment. The student’s results will be returned within three business days. We will inform the student of the results and possible options if their first choice is not possible. 2) If the student is accepted, all required documents (some originals) must be translated, notarized and sent to London Language Institute.
3) In three to five weeks, students will receive confirmation of the conditional offer from the university. Original document (required for visa) will be sent upon payment received. 4) After students meet the requirements of the conditional offer they are guaranteed acceptance to the institution stated on the offer.
Partner Universities Introduction
Western University - Brescia University College Brescia University College is Canada’s only women’s university. We are a small, student centered university college, with approximately 1,300 students registered annually. Located across the road from Western’s main campus, we provide an engaging environment that encourages active participation in learning, development of leadership and teamwork skills, and community involvement. A pre-university preliminary year program is offered to both male and female registrants. Residence is guaranteed and generous scholarship and bursary programs are offered. Trent University Trent University was built in 1964; it is a liberal arts and science-oriented university located in Peterborough, which has 135,000 population. Trent University ranked #1 in Ontario in Maclean’s University Ranking in the Primarily Undergraduate Category. It has high quality programs, such as: Science of Business Administration, economy, mathematics, environment, biology, Anthropology, natural science, social science, computer science.
Western University - Huron University College Huron University College is a university within a university. As the founding college of Western University, we opened our doors in 1863, making us one of the oldest universities in Canada. Originally founded as an Anglican theological college, we now offer programs in Liberal Arts, Management and Organizational Studies, Social Sciences, as well as Theology. Our student population of almost 1,300 means that we offer a dynamic and intimate learning environment, small classes and residence. Western University - King’s University College Founded in 1955, King’s is a Catholic, co-educational, liberal arts, university college affiliated with Western University. Located in London, Ontario, Canada, King’s has 3,100 full-time and 400 part-time students from all faiths and backgrounds who are interested in the benefits of small classes, quality teaching and a community atmosphere. Entrance scholarships are guaranteed for students with an overall average of 80% or greater and do not require an application. King’s offers Bachelor degrees in Management and Organizational Studies; Childhood and Social Institutions; Social Justice and Peace Studies; a wide range of disciplines in the faculties of Arts and Social Science; Social Work; and a Master’s in Social Work. Renewable Entrance Scholarships are guaranteed to high school applicants with final averages above 80%.

Acadia University Acadia University was built in 1838; it is one of the oldest Canadian universities. The university is located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia which has a population of 38,000. The city has a beautiful natural environment, relaxed traffic conditions and friendly people. Acadia University has been rated for seven years the #1 Canadian undergraduate education university. The popular programs in this university are: business administration, accounting, computer science, information technology, environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc. Algoma University Algoma University only has 1,200 full time students, but it has not stopped it from being one of best universities in Ontario. The university is located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, which is the industrial centre of the Great Lakes area. Algoma University alumni not only have been very successful in socially demanding areas such as computer science and business administration, but some very professional areas, such as legislation, art, and development of society, etc.
Wilfrid Laurier University Wilfrid Laurier University is located in the city of Waterloo, Ontario. The university has 20,000 students; it has the very popular business, economic, music, English, archaeology, psychology, and social work programs. The business program in Wilfrid Laurier University is one of the best in Canada, it is approved by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), and it is also the first Canadian business program, which provides students co-op opportunities. In addition, the music program in Wilfrid Laurier University is the top three in Canada, and the unique music therapy course is very famous in Canada.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a conditional offer? A conditional offer is a formal agreement from a LLI partner to accept a student after the conditions of the offer are completed. Such as completion of required LLI courses and/or suitable English proficiency test scores. When can I receive a conditional offer from LLI? After a student finishes the first semester in their final year of high school a FREE assessment can be requested. Qualified students can attain the conditional offer within 3-5 weeks of completing their application. It really depends on the student’s English level. When the student arrives at LLI we will have an assessment to determine the student’s English level, LLI has seven levels in total, the last two levels called AP1 and AP2 (academic preparation). After the student finish the AP2 level, he/she has the English level and tools to be successful in a Canadian university. How long is the duration of studying in LLI to meet the condition?
When is the start date of each ESL level? LLI programs have monthly start dates throughout the year- 12 start times. What factors determine my university acceptance? Admission to most programs is based on the GPA of your last year of high school. Academic performance and pre- requisites are the key factors in determining entrance to a college and university program. Bridge Program Level 5 is a bridging program between ESL and Academic Preparation. A passing grade of 60% is required to progress to Academic Preparation.
Academic Preparation Program Our Academic Preparation program prepares students for post-secondary studies through exposure to authentic academic tasks with language support.
ESL PROGRAM Students progress through our ESL program from the beginner to high-intermediate level. A passing grade of 60% is required for progression to the next level.

University Readiness Students who complete the Academic Preparation program with a minimum score of 75% satisfy the language requirements for many of our pathway partners.
Additional Support Students who complete the program but do not obtain the minimum score may be required to complete a language proficiency examination, such as CAEL, TOEFL or IELTS.

AP3 is not a requirement for university admission, but provides additional academic preparation prior to beginning post-secondary studies.
