PHASE - I JUNE 1st

RE-OPENING PLAN WILMINGTON COUNTRY CLUB COVID-19 PANDEMIC RECOVERY PHASE ONE

2020 | JUNE

PHASE ONE

The following are general guidelines for hroughout the duration of Phase - I. As we transition in to Phase - II, at a time still unknown, it is expected that some of the guidelines will be modified.

• Effective June 1, Delawarewill enter into the first Phase of a three-phase re-opening. This plan addresses those requirements and incorporates several relevant best industry practices that have been acquired from other fine clubs across the nation. • Safety and health: All employees will continue to complete a daily health questionnaire prior to being allowed work. Employees who exhibit signs of illness are required to stay home. PPE standards will be mandated and enforced. This varies slightly depending on the duties performed, but generally includes proper distancing, masks and gloves. • Members will continue to be reminded of the importance to maintain a safe community and practice physical distancing. They will be encouraged to stay away from the club if they are feeling ill or exhibiting any signs of COVID-19. Members will be required to wear face masks while in any building or are outdoors but maintaining a 6’ distance is unlikely.

• The Club property will remain available to MEMBERS only. Guests will not be allowed within the community at this time.

• Accessing many areas of the Club will require that a member plan their visit in advance and make an appropriate “reservation”. The only way to satisfy the physical distancing and occupancy limitation mandates will be to control access.

• The out-of-state recreational use restriction as well as the 14-day self-quarantine requirement for returnees remains in effect.

As we move towards normalcy, please be reminded that all of the club’s traditional rules remain in effect. This includes policy for dress code, personal electronic devices, outside food & beverage, etc. We kindly ask for your continued assistance in maintaining a minimum physical distance of six feet from other members and staff at all times, and please do not gather in groups.

Clubhouse • Members will have access to the Clubhouse with reduced occupancy limitations and strict physical distancing requirements. • A full building disinfecting effort will take place prior to allowing member access. • HVAC filters will be replaced. • Facemasks are required to be worn by all individuals while in the clubhouse. • An increased Housekeeping staff will provide for day and evening coverage. • Enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols (high touch points) remain in place. • Interior doors will be left open as much as practical. • Exterior doors will be “gapped” to permit foot opening. • Elevator capacity will be restricted to single riders or a family unit. • Reception: will remain unstaffed with automated phone answering to continue. • Administrative Office access: member visits must be pre-arranged. • Valet Parking: Not staffed. • No vendor, sales or delivery persons will be permitted on property without prior arrangement.

Locker Rooms • Members will have access to their lockers.

• As much as is practical, interior doors will be left open to minimize touch points. • Locker rooms will be attended with a primary focus on cleaning and sanitation. • Lounge areas will remain closed – no beverages or snacks provided; no card/ game playing. All shared periodicals will be removed. • Toilet areas will be open. • Shower areas will be closed – Towels removed.

• Shoe care will resume. • Men’s Sauna: Closed. • No grooming or personal care amenities will be provided.

Card Play/MahJong/Book Club • Not permitted in Phase-I.

Guest Suites • Guest Suites will remain closed in Phase-I.

Phase-I permits a return to “dine-in” food service (as opposed to only curbside/pickup), but “bars” are not allowed to operate. Re-opening guidelines permit us to provide outdoor beverage service with or without providing food service for on premise consumption. Members will not be allowed to sit at a bar for dining or drinking. The total number of diners permitted in a dining area is limited to a percentage of fire code capacity and table spacing must follow strict distancing guidelines. Reservations are required for dine-in table service and will be available to members only and only members of the same household unit may be seated at a table together. Reservations can be made via the Club app beginning Wednesday, May 27th. Diners must all have seats, be seated and remain seated unless going to the restroom. No activities other than dining may take place at a table. Given those parameters, here are some of the specific operational details that we will follow: Grill & Tavern / Outdoor patio: These areas will serve Dinner only Tues through Sunday. We will return to no F&B service on Monday (including the discontinuance of Monday Curbside Dinner). Reservations will be required 5 to 7:30 pm. and may be acquired via the club app no later noon the day of. No walk-up seating is permitted. Reservations will be spaced and limited to ensure compliance with distancing and occupancy requirements and reservation times will be strictly followed. Members will be led directly to their tables upon arrival to minimize socializing at other tables. Single use and electronic menus will be utilized. There will be one nightly menu for dine-in or curb-side – similar to current offering. No signing of chits or presentation folders will occur at meal end – simply a receipt. Staff will be in masks and gloves. Members must be in masks upon arrival, but may remove them once seated. When leaving their table for any reason, masks must be worn. Adjustments to service of salt/pepper, condiments, cheese, breads, etc. to ensure safe practices will occur. Age restrictions in Tavern will be temporarily lifted. Parents are required to ensure that their children physically distance as well. When dining outdoors, children must not be allowed to conduct themselves differently than when seated indoors. Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear face masks indoors but must maintain 6’ distance from all others. Additional hand sanitizing stations will be available for members and staff. When a member exits, the table and chairs will be completely cleaned and sanitized in preparation for the next seating. Take Out/Curbside Dinner Service: Other than the schedule adjustment of Monday closing, this will continue to function as it currently does. Grocery Service: Will be discontinued June 1st. Café 1901: Will be open for Lunch Tuesday through Sunday 11:00 am until 3:00. No dinner service will be offered. The self-service salad bar and appetizer area has been re-worked to become a staffed salad station. The menu has been streamlined for luncheon service. Reservations will NOT be taken for this area. A queue line with proper spacing will be established at the register for order placement. All other aspects of service will be the same as was provided prior to closure (food and drink will be brought to tables). Staff will be in masks and gloves. Members must be in masks until seated at their table. Masks will be required at the ordering station. Items may be ordered to-go, but must be picked up in Café-1901. Curbside delivery is not available at lunch. The number of tables and chairs will be reduced in quantity and located in such a manner as to comply with distancing and capacity requirements. The furniture may not be re-arranged by members in a way that would be out of compliance. Additional hand sanitizing stations will be available for members and staff. When a member exits, the table and chairs will be completely cleaned and sanitized in preparation for the next member use. Tables will be flagged as red or green to indicate dirty/not available or clean/disinfected. Pub 37: Indoor seating will remain closed in Phase-I. The outdoor patio/fire-pit area will be open for beverage service only. We will not be providing food/menu service in Phase-I. Seating will be “open” but all operations must be in accordance with Phase-I guidelines. Tables/chairs will be properly distanced and may not be re-arranged by members in a way that would be out of compliance. Drink orders must be taken and delivered to seated members by staff. Governor Carney’s Phase-I Plan includes the ability to re-open the Fitness Center with strict limitations. Occupancy is limited to a percentage of fire code capacity based on square footage. Our fitness center is large enough that even with these restrictions, our typical user load suggests that a member should not need to make reservations to exercise. Strict physical distancing, cleanliness and sanitation guidelines remain in place. • The Fitness Center may only be open when staff is present to ensure cleanliness, distancing, and authorized access • Monday- Friday 7 AM – 5 PM • Saturday and Sunday 8 AM – 2 PM • Only WCC members may use the Fitness Center. No regular or family guests may use the Fitness Center during Phase-I. • Members and staff must wear face coverings while in the Fitness Center. Members may remove their face mask once active on a piece of equipment or in a high energy activity. Masks must be worn at all other times. • All members must register with staff upon arrival. You will asked to provide first and last name, as well as your individual member number. • Every member will receive a briefing on expectations/requirements relative to limiting the transmission of COVID-19 in a fitness/exercise environment. • Exercise equipment will be spaced and rotated in use to maintain a distance of at least six feet between members. A green tag indicates the piece of equipment is available for use; a red tag indicates that the piece of equipment is currently not available for use. • There will be no group exercise or yoga classes during Phase-I • Massage treatment is not allowed during Phase-I • One-on-one personal training is available with the assurance of proper physical distancing. • Members should bring their own mask, ear buds, water bottle, and towel. Towels will not be provided during Phase-I. • Look for equipment with a green tag—this equipment has been cleaned and is ready for use. Equipment with a red tag is unavailable until a staff member cleans it and places the green tag on it (physical distancing may delay the return of a piece of equipment until safe to do so). • Please clean equipment before and after each use. Sanitation and disinfection equipment/stations will be provided. • For heavy contact equipment (kettlebells, medicine balls, etc.) a designated cleaning station will be clearly marked--- please place equipment there for staff to thoroughly clean before they return it to its place. • Recreational walking on the Service Road path will continue.

The rules listed below are applicable through Phase - I of Delaware’s re-opening plan. While the time frame for entering Phase-II and Phase-III remains uncertain, we anticipate that the rules and regulations currently in place will be adjusted. • Due to the large size of our pool complex, we may operate at the State’s maximum capacity of 100 people in the pool area at any one time. Reservaions not required. • Members only, no guests permitted. • Upon arrival, members must register at the pool entrance and be informed of the State of Delaware’s Department of Public Health expectations and requirements relative to limiting the transmission of COVID-19 in a swimming pool environment. • Every member will be required to give their individual member number. Children under the age of 10 who have not yet been issued a member number will be registered under their parent’s number. At entry, please observe the markers placed 6’ feet apart to ensure proper physical distancing. • Members over the age of 12 will be required to wear face masks beginning on the pool entry walkway, through the registration process and until they are settled in their chairs. Masks may be removed for sunbathing or while in the pool but are to be worn at all other times on deck. • Any employee engaging a member must wear a mask. • Pool furniture will be reduced in quantity and located in such amanner as to comply with distancing guidelines. Furniture may not be relocated by members in a way that it no longer meets physical distancing requirements for a non-household unit. • No shared pool equipment, toys or games will be available (or permitted). • Queue spots will identify proper line spacing to access the diving board. • Parents are required to ensure that their children practice 6’ physical distancing from any non-family individual. • No grouping on the deck may exceed ten people at any one time. Physical distancing of 6’ is required by all individuals who are not residents of the same household. • When a member family vacates a seating area, that area must be closed for cleaning and disinfecting prior to becoming available for use. • Lifeguards will provide focused supervision to ensure safe swimming activities. A “deck host” will be responsible for controlling the non-swimming environment, including cleanliness and sanitation as well as reminding members to adhere to physical distancing expectations. • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their parent. During Phase-I, children under 16 may not be “dropped off” unless they are participating in a staff-supervised activity. • No pool events, parties or organized swim activities will be permitted. • The Family Center is open for access to family lockers. Family center restrooms and showers are closed during Phase-I.
