Our students are at the forefront of all of our decisions. We are proud of the strides that we have made toward providing them with a most exceptional learning environment . In all areas—academic, student life, campus beautification, athletics, and more—we have made improvements and enhancements to our facilities and programs. Our work is never done, and we want to continue to make improvements to our beautiful campus to further our Institutional mission of “guiding students to succeed through personal instruction and intellectual inquiry.” From the students to the faculty and staff to the Board of Trustees, our campus community is inspiring. The traditions established by our alumni and friends are strong. The projects that are ahead of us are challenging and exciting. Thank you for your support — in the past, today, and tomorrow. IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A VIKING.

Guarding the Access to Higher Education providing our students the opportunity to more affordably obtain a degree with the Guardian Fund .
“The Guardian Fund at MissouriValleyCollege, made possible by contributions fromouralumniandfriends, ensures the attainability of an affordable and high quality education.” —Dr. Bonnie Humphrey MVC President
Often times, the gap between the amount of money in scholarships, grants and loans, becomes a burden to our students and their families, and ultimately, forces them to put their education on hold—sometimes periodi- cally, but too often permanently. The Guardian Fund, an endowed scholarship program, exists to help bridge the gap in the amount in which a student is responsible, and will allow them to more affordably have the opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree. In the 2016-17 academic year, 98% of MVC students received financial aid, which includes institutional or outside scholarships, or federal, state or private aid.

The Institutional Endowment An endowment is a college’s financial cornerstone—the core of its ability to fuel progress in academic programs, scholarship, and teaching. Allowing an institution to be less dependent on unpredictable sources of revenue, endowments ensure that promising programs, individuals, and initiatives have the continual support they need to take the intellectual risks that can pay off in monumental leaps in knowledge. Securing our future Currently, the MVC endowment is $5.5 million, which is lower than most schools in the Heart of America Conference. Increasing our endowment: • Ensures regular funding levels for University departments, programs, and operations • Helps stem rises in tuition by providing needed financial aid • enables the university to offer more scholarships and university-based financial aid, which in turn helps in the recruitment and retention of the most qualified students • And much more! strengthening the C0RE
