President , Exploration Learning

We’re living in an age of acceleration, uncertainty, and momentous change. Life, college, and careers have been disrupted and the old playbooks are outdated. Those who will thrive in the future are those who can reimagine it. This is why we’ve built an entirely new program that sits at the crossroads of academia and careers. A place of discovery and innovation. An accelerator for ideas and action. A networking incubator. A working lab. A creative studio. A problem-solving center. You’ll engage in the real work of a profession by working on genuine projects in the field. (Some might call themmicro- internships.) Real projects for real people. You’ll get feedback and be asked tough questions frommentors, coaches, and experts. You’ll start building your professional network. You’ll begin to

understand what is possible. You’ll collaborate with peers from all over the world who are interested in being in a place crackling with ideas, laughter, hard work, and fun. This is where lifelong friendships are made. And we only invite those who want to come for the right reasons: You are genuinely curious about the subject of study. That doesn’t necessarily mean you know a whole lot about it — yet — but you have a genuine desire to know more. You’re willing to dig in once you get here. For 45 years, some of the most interesting, collaborative, and boldest thinking people in the world have come to EXPLO. If this sounds like your kind of place, I hope you’ll give us a call. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are the dawning of a new era in human history. From bio-technology and medicine to climate change and the future of democracy, when machines improve their function without us needing to do it for them, we unlock insights about our world that we simply cannot access today. In this Concentration, you’ll be faced with many real-world technical and ethical challenges surrounding the integration of these technologies into current society and our collective futures. Write machine learning code and check its security with our partners at Rapid7, a leading security firm that uses AI and machine learning technology. Discover how some of the world’s best minds harnessed the power of artificial intelligence to develop a Covid-19 vaccine on an unprecedented timescale.
