TRENDS & FACTS ABOUT CHILDREN’S FRANCHISES

1.  The market for children’s services and products is huge and growing. According to the latest U.S. Census, there are more than 74 million children in the United States (or about 1/4 of the national population). This number is projected to increase to approximately 80.3 million by 2030. 2.  Spending on children is also rising. A trend that children's franchise owners often point out is that people are having children later in life, in their 30s as opposed to their 20s. In most cases, older parents are more fi nancially stable, meaning that they have additional money to spend on their children's development.  3.  An increase in lifespan is also driving an increase in spending. Grandparents have more years to spend money on their grandchildren. Kids themselves now have more personal money to spend as well. 4.  It’s estimated that parents will spend about $170,000 - $400,000 to raise a child from birth to 18 years old (dependent upon income level). Expenses include child care, education, health care, and clothing, housing, food, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses.  As a proportion of total child-rearing expenses, housing accounts for the largest share. Child care/education and food are the next largest average expenditures. 5. THIS IS NOT AN EARNINGS CLAIM OR A PREDICTION OF OF HOW YOUR BUSINESS WILL PERFORM. IT IS A REPRESENTATION OF PEAK AVERAGE ENROLLMENT BETWEEN FEB 15,2018 AND APRIL 15, 2018 FOR CENTERS THAT HAVE BEEN OPEN AT LEAST 1 YEAR. 1. Our average enrollment has increased from 32 in 2010, over 39 in 2011, over 40 in 2013, over 45 in 2014, over 50 in 2015, over 52 in 2016, over 55 in 2017, up to 57.9 students per Center in 2018. This is due primarily to our relentless commitment to I•QuEST and Alignment between Franchisor and Franchisees. 2. More than half (63%) of our Centers have enrollments between 50 and 100 students with the average center over 50 having an enrollment of 66.5 students. That means that 1/2 of our Centers are averaging slightly less than 70 students. This is a huge increase over previous years. 3. Our percentage of Centers greater than 70 students increased from 13% to 23%, our percentage of Centers with less than 30 students decreased from 7% to 3%. 4. The average of all Centers is about 57 students per Center. This number includes a percentage of students currently moving through the Enrollment Checklist as a reflection of our average ECR. 5. Our Mentors have an average enrollment of over 81.2 students! These are the Franchisees that you can get the most help from. And keep in mind, that all these Mentors were selected when they hit 40 students. 6. An amazing 88% of our Centers boast enrollment over 40 students, and this is the statistic we are most proud of at the Company. This means the vast majority of our Centers are performing well. • Entrepreneur Magazine now ranks us in their top 500. Our specific ranking is 220 out of about 4400 franchise organizations in the USA. • Over 90% of our Franchisees have secured their locations. This is about 35% above the national average for franchise companies.

#1 GOAL OF THE TUTORING CENTER ® At T HE T UTORING C ENTER® we have found that children who are successful in school have strong academic skills in reading, math, and writing. Stronger academic skills lead to better grades in the classroom. Most successful students have test scores in reading, writing, and math that are six months to one year ahead of their current grade levels . Therefore, as a Franchisee, your primary goal is to get your students ahead of grade level. T HE T UTORING C ENTER® System will help the children of your community dramatically improve their math, reading, and writing skills while also increasing their concentration span. We accomplish this with our system of One-To- One Instruction combined with The Rotational Approach to Learning TM .

VERY REASONABLE TUITION RATES NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS

Recommended tuition rates are considered very reasonable for the intense, individualized, top-quality One-To-One Instruction we provide. And, we have set up our tuition rates to be very family-friendly. It is easier than ever for a family to send two or three children to your center because we offer substantial family discounts. Also, because students enrolled at your Center for more than 12 months have shown remarkable progress and growth, families are encouraged to stay longer by reducing their tuition after one year. Current tuition rates are posted on each Franchisee’s website. Franchisees are free to modify these rates based on several factors, including the area their Center is located.

The primary goal is to get students ahead of grade level by utilizing our system of One-To- One Instruction combined with The Rotational Approach to Learning TM .

As a new Franchisee, you’ll be happy to know that over 80% of the families that visit your Center for information will actually enroll.

TESTIMONIAL #2 - HELEN YOUNG

One of our first enrolled families have three children, two girls ages 10 and 8 and a boy age 12.

The 10 year old girl and the boy both come to our center twice a week, but their younger sister was upset that she couldn't attend also.

Their mom usually stays in the reception room during the tutoring session and more times than not we spend the time talking. One day after her kids had been attending The Tutoring Center for several weeks, she said "Helen I have been meaning to tell you that my two daughters have been playing "The Tutoring Center" at home." They had put a sign on their bedroom door and they made up notebooks with dividers, and attendance page and they even created their own game-boards for their stickers. She said that she and her husband had to play, and the girls praised them for their work, and corrected their mistakes and even gave them prizes. (She said they had to give back the prizes though when the game was over). She said that her girls have had so much fun playing. When I heard this, I thought - what a great compliment that these two kids wanted to emulate the fun they have at the Tutoring Center.
