What is Lemon Myrtle?

Lemon Myrtle is a native subtropical tree found originally on the east coast of Australia in Northern NSW and South - East QLD . Originally discovered by our First Nations People centuries ago , and more recently rediscovered by European settlement in the 1 8 00s , its leaves , when harvested , have been used in topical applications for wounds , repellents and skin irritations , inhalation to assist respiratory issues and ingested as part of their cooking processes .
