From Garrett: Me and my wife, Amanda, welcomed a new four-legged member to the family this August, her name is Ellie and she is a 4-month-old lab mix that we adopted from an organization called P.A.W. Rescue. We originally went to one of their events ready to adopt a completely different dog but after walking around andmeeting some other pups, we both decided Ellie was one of the dogs for us and as luck would have it, the foster parents of Ellie, chose us! September kicked off the wedding season for me and Amanda as well, we recently got all dressed up to attend my cousin Emily’s wedding, which was held at a mansion in Marriottsville, MD, and we honestly had a great time! They had a short ceramony, so we all dedicated the rest of the night to having a big party with family and friends.

From Megan: My parents and Atlas graduates, Jean and Bob, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 13th. They celebrated with a group of their family and friends at Cafe Mezzanote in Severna Park. Besides my sister and I, our spouses, sister-in-law, 8 grandchildren and their spouses, and 3 great grandchildren were in attendance.  The group ranged from 94 years old to a 1 year old, celebrating with a good deal of liveliness. The wedding party was represented by the daughter of one bridesmaid, the wife of one usher, with one of the bridesmaids honoring the “newlyweds” by flying in with her granddaughter  from Oregon to join the party!

WHAT’S GOING ON AROUND ATLAS PT? The party included a blessing from their pastor, a slideshow of milestones in their marriage, and tributes from family and friends. Bob shared some sweet memories of their years together and Jean shared a poem that she had written to Bob on their 26th anniversary. There were a few tears and many laughs!  There are few opportunities to celebrate such a remarkable couple. We cannot wait to start planning for the 75th! (continued from outside)

From Laura: Summer ended with good weather and fun trips. I took the girls with me to meet up with my college buddies in Virginia for a Girls Trip (5 gals + 6 little girls + 1 little boy… poor dude!). Bekah celebrated her wedding anniversary with what’s become a traditional trip to the beach... Sam and his girlfriend visited Williamsburg. Kate and her family headed to her birthplace of New Jersey.  TJ and I enjoyed a night at the Pier 6 Pavilion for the Our Lady Peace/Bush/LIVE concert. Bush was

when you’re having fun!). She was so tired during dinner that night she had to hold her head up! On Friday the 13th, we all met up for a Team Dinner. Eleven Atlas staffers, “plus-ones,” and kids met under the full moon for a gorgeous night and all the fajitas we could eat.  We worked off our full bellies with badminton, croquet, and Corn Hole while the kids rode bikes. We had lots of fun to hang with everyone’s families!

my #1 fave, and LIVE was a close second. We were really close to the stage, had fun singing along, and when Gavin Rossdale the singer for Bush walked through the crowd he was close enough to touch! Gran and Pop Pop watched the girls for a sleepover and went to see Toy Story 4 while we rocked out.  Happy First Day of School for our kindergartener! She was SO ready! Her pre-school buddy is in her class, at her table! She said it felt like they only had 6 minutes for recess (they have 20, time flies
