B.I 0 LA to Build New Campus in La Mirada

Dr. Sa muel H. Suthe rland, President, and Mr. Wi lliam C. Ullrich, A.I.A., Architect

After more than two years of fervent prayer and con– centrated planning, the Board of Directors of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles h as announced the pur chase of 50 acres of ground in La Mirada, California, situated 22 miles southeast of Los Angeles. The location of the BIOLA Campus will be on the site within the next two or three years, as the Lord leads. Realizing that, in a few short years, many more hun· dreds of young people will be desiring preparation for Christ's service, the leaders of this nearly half-century o ld Christian institution of higher learning have been asking God for His perfect wisdom in selecting just the right area in which adeq uate facili ties may be con· str ucted for the purpose of training the Christian leaders of tomorrow! As you look through the pages of this month's BROAD· CASTER, we trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you to pray for the administration of BIOLA in this new step o f faith which has been taken, to meet the oncoming tidal wave of young p e ople and the great spiritual needs of the world.

CHACLENGE TO BIOLA

Now, together, we must look to God "for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid which is Jesus Christ!"

F p Giving a panoramic view of the proposed new BIOLA Campus in La Mirada, Architect William C. Ullrich, A.I.A., has utilised the fifty acres in placement of important buildings. Myers Brothers Construction Company will be contractors with the date for actual ground breaking not as yet determined. Immediate building needs, covering approximately two hundred eighty thousand square feet, will cost between two and three million dollars. .. • In the words of our Chancellor, Dr. Louis T. Talbot: "God's hand is so clearly seen in every development of this much needed campus, that we must continue to look to Him for the future. This forward step for Christ can only be accomplished through faithful and consistent prayer by all. May God burden each heart with these vital needs." TU B A A
