Don't Ignore Your Back Pain! What Is Your Back Pain Trying To Tell You?
Once the cause of your back pain is determined, your physical therapist will be able to identify the best treatment options for your body’s needs. This will likely include the following: • Targetedexercisesthatarespecializedtotheregionofthe backthat isexperiencingthemostpain.Theseexercisesare designedtohelpbuildstrengthandsupporttheunderlying structure of the spine. • Guidedstretchingdesignedto improverangeofmotionand flexibility.Thiswilltake intoaccountthehealthandvivacity ofthevertebraeand includestretchesthatsupportoptimal back health. • Support and guidance with an exercise routine and habit formation, including cardiovascular activity that can stimulate improved blood circulation to the affected areas of the back, as well as strength-building activities and postural education. • Manual therapy to improve joint and soft tissue mobility. Thiswill increaseyourrangeofmotionand improveoverall mobility. Attempting to undertake any of these changes on your own after you’ve experienced a back injury is both dangerous and not recommended. Patient Success Story
Happy Father's Day!
"I needed PT after breaking my collarbone due to a bike accident. I did PT with Samantha Harmon, DPT. She did an excellentpre-therapyevaluationwhich identifiedmyproblem areas related to the injury. She developed a treatment plan foreachvisit that improvedmyrangeofmotionandstrength. She emailed me after each visit with instructions of the exercises done at the office so I could do them at home. This was very helpful! During my last visit, she remeasured my shoulder range of motion, which had improved dramatically, without further pain. I can now workout at the gym without aggravating my injury. I’m back at work, and function well at home also. I would definitely recommend Blue Sky PT and return if I ever need PT again. Thank You!" - T.R.
We want to thank all the dads, grandads and father figures for being awesome! Happy Father's Day from Blue Sky PT!
