At EXPLO, learning and fun are one and the same. We’ve created a safe and nurturing environment that uses summer for what it’s meant: innovation, creativity, and experiential learning. Each summer, we inspire our students to open their minds to new interests and passions, (gently) encourage them to leave their comfort zones behind, and invite them to ignite their love of learning. We’ll take you on a global journey of cultures and ideas. At EXPLO, you’ll learn (and play) with students from Boston, Buenos Aires, Beijing, and everywhere in between. At this crossroads of culture, you’ll meet students from completely different walks of life — and expand how you think about yourself, each other, and the world.

Looking for a deeper dive? Concentrations are two-week courses at EXPLO Boston. You’ll take just the one course, and explore a variety of career paths in that subject through projects, field trips, and meeting with experts in the profession.

OUR ACADEMICS ARE FAR FROM STANDARD

For more than 40 years, EXPLO has set the standard for hands-on, project-based learning. Each program has a team of Teaching + Learning experts who spend 10 months a year creating engaging projects and experiments in a range of subject areas. At EXPLO, learning starts with doing. Build your own electronic arcade game, write the opening of the next great American novel, or produce your first podcast — and that’s just the morning. Then, crack an NSA-level code, stop an outbreak, or give your new best friend a black eye (with theater make-up). What will you explore this summer?

Each session, choose from a variety of different trips ranging from a day of Duck Tours to an afternoon with sea lions at the New England Aquarium. A DAY PROGRAM LIKE NO OTHER As an EXPLO Day student, take full advantage of everything EXPLO has to offer. During the day, you can interact with students from all over the world. At night, you can sleep at home in your own bed (or sleep over twice a week). On the weekends, join us for trips to Boston, Providence, and beyond. Explore something new every day — and never have to pack a thing. (Not even lunch — we provide that, too!)
