The highest light and colour sensitivity of an eye is 560 nm during the day and 530 nm at night. This fact was considered in the development of Optiplas O+ and consciously maximises the anti-reflection effect in the range of 450 to 650 nm.

The high precision of the arrangement of the anti-reflection multi-layers through HGS reduces the residual reflection to 0.2%. The result is maximum brilliance and contrast perception. Traditional anti-reflective coatings have an average residual reflection of 1.2%.

Only thanks to the know-how of the most experienced employees at Optiswiss, could the necessary high-precision processes be implemented.

Unique precision through the use of titanium Optiplas O+ is applied precisely to the lens. The layer accuracy within the layer coating is 0.1 nm. To maintain the stability in the layer structure, titanium is used. Titanium is the highest-quality material for anti-reflective coating. The use of titanium also helps ensure that a residual reflection of 0.2% can be achieved.
