Cunard Centenary World Voyages

Rediscover the world in 2023.

Celebrating a century of pioneering world travel.

100 years of unrivalled escapism. 2023 marks 100 years since RMS Laconia completed Cunard’s first World Voyage and to celebrate we’re embarking on a season of global adventures inspired by this pioneering feat in ocean travel. Taking inspiration from Laconia’s ground-breaking journey, the fleet will embark on two Centenary World Voyages in 2023, calling at many ports originally featured on that historic circumnavigation. Lose yourself in the spirit of Cunard on board as you journey between some of the world’s most inspiring and unique destinations. From special menus showcasing the finest world cuisine, to a show-stopping Centenary World Voyage afternoon tea, our 2023 voyages around the globe will be a celebration of ocean travel you won’t want to miss.

The Centenary World Voyages. Cunard has refined the World Voyage for a century and counting. Our 2023 itineraries invite you to reconnect with the world, with overnight port calls including San Francisco, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and Cape Town and late evening departures including Safaga, Colombo, Fremantle and Port Elizabeth. Discover salt-white beaches spilling into the bluest seas, step inside architectural feats of wonder and come face-to-face with our planet’s most majestic wildlife. Whether you embark on the ultimate travel adventure, or a shorter itinerary exploring Asia, Oceania, North America or Africa, each day will bring untold possibilities and leave you feeling refreshed, energised and renewed.

Aruba’s capital is bursting full of Caribbean vibrancy, from the colourful Dutch Colonial buildings to the bold-hued trams taking to the streets, and even the succulent fruit sold by local merchants at Schooner Market.

Nestled on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, Cabo is renowned for its casual atmosphere, stunning amber beaches and enviable views. Sunshine and hospitality are equally warming in this destination.

Sitting between the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Nevada mountains, laid-back San Francisco is home to the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge. Be sure to visit the acclaimed vineyards of the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

The largest city in Hawaii has a tropical rainforest climate and lies at the base of volcanoes. Wailuku River’s colossal cascading Rainbow Falls occasionally gift you the opportunity to see beautiful rainbow mists.

The Samoan Islands lie deep in the South Pacific Ocean. Apia is the capital, found on Upolu, an island that boasts some of the most exquisite beaches. Robert Louis Stevenson spent the last years of his life here and it is his final resting place.

As the last Polynesian kingdom, Tonga is the only nation in the South Pacific archipelago not to be colonised. Coral gardens and rainforests are naturally mesmerising, and cool coconut milk is a pleasure to sip straight from the shell.

Heraklion, Greece.

Luxor, Egypt.

Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Phuket, Thailand.

Penang, Malaysia.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The port of Phu My is one of Vietnam’s culinary centres and your gateway to exploring history-rich Ho Chi Minh City, still fondly known as Saigon. Ever lively, the city is a whirl of fresh food aromas, and buzzing scooters.

Wander among the fine squares and fountains of Crete’s largest city, or gaze over the azure blue waters of the Cretan Sea as you enjoy fresh seafood. The immense Minoan palace at Knossos is a sight to behold.

Many travellers who sail to Safaga use the port as a stepping stone to Egypt’s most ancient monuments. Visit intricate tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the resting place of Egypt’s great pharaohs on the bank of the River Nile.

A fascinating city, a Miami-like mix of bright white sand and reflective glass skyscrapers. Abu Dhabi offers world-class art museums, innovative Middle Eastern cuisine and countless opportunities to shop in souks and malls.

Sparkling blue waters team with a kaleidoscope of marine life here. Away from its desirable coast, the countryside is dense with coconut groves, rubber plantations and green hills hiding ancient temples, shrines and mosques.

Caressing Malaysia’s northwest coast, Penang island is a superb blend of cultures, religions and architecture.

Flavoursome street food is among the finest in Asia. Walk the mural trail to discover outdoor artworks aplenty.

Japan.

From bustling cities streaming with life, to sacred temples shrouded in pin-drop silence, Japan is an intriguing contradiction of old and new, where traditions are a way of life and a far-off future feels closer than ever. Queen Elizabeth’s Japanese itineraries travel to the deepest corners of this equally serene and dynamic destination, from the glass skyscrapers of Tokyo’s neon-bathed streets on a tour from Yokohama, to the rice paddies of Akita. With delightfully rich itineraries, you could discover the sake distilleries of Otaru, summit Mount Hakodate by aerial lift, and savour Kochi’s lush green-cloaked mountains, feudal castles and Pacific beaches.

Queen Elizabeth will head to the Asia Pacific in late 2022, where she will embark on a full circumnavigation of Australia, complemented by voyages to Japan, New Zealand and South East Asia. Calling at 49 ports in 16 countries, she’ll enjoy overnight stays in Hobart, Auckland, Singapore and Hong Kong, coupled with late evening departures from Fremantle, Yokohama and Fukuoka, plus a maiden call to Russia’s Vladivostok. New Zealand.

Brimming with golden sand beaches, multicoloured reefs and characterful cities, Australia is a dynamic blend of culture, outdoor pursuits and natural wonders, where relaxation and play abound. Be enamoured by Melbourne’s growing art scene, take in the sight of Sydney’s famous opera house or indulge in a glass of local Shiraz in one of Adelaide’s many independent bars, hidden among its charming Laneways. Queen Elizabeth’s Australian voyages also reveal wondrous feats of nature, from the Great Barrier Reef and the spellbinding beaches of the Whitsunday Islands, to one-of-a-kind trees at Busselton’s Tuart Forest National Park.

Boasting some of the most sensational fjords in the world, and cities with a small town feel, New Zealand’s natural charm and wild beauty have made the islands a firm favourite among travellers looking to escape the status quo. Its Fiordland National Park delivers breath-taking scenes where trickling waterfalls navigate towering cliffs, while its beaches offer some of the most unspoilt remaining coastlines in the world. Discover Dunedin’s Maori heritage, ride Wellington’s cable car to the protected native forests of its Botanic Garden, or be enthralled by the subtropical archipelago of the Bay of Islands.
