The team here at Elite Smiles is slowly and steadily settling in to our new building, and we’re enjoying it every day. With the entire team now under one roof, we’re so excited about working together and the benefits that brings for all of our patients. As a multispecialty office, we can provide multiple dental services for our patients without having to send them somewhere else. This is immensely beneficial for everyone who lives in the Saint Augustine community, as we can now practice every dental field you can think of. Our provided services include general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and periodontics.

General dentistry is what you think of when you go to a dental office for an appointment. General services prevent harmful diseases before they can damage the mouth; restore teeth by removing decay and placing fillings; and ensure patients have full, bright smiles. These services are also known as preventive services, restorative services, cosmetic procedures, and overall health. Endodontists focus on the roots of our teeth, which are made up of small channels surrounded by blood vessels; nerves; and sensitive tissues, also called pulp. When an infection occurs in the tissue, it can cause pain or, in worse cases, loss of teeth. It is up to the endodontist to detect, treat, and prevent any problems that might occur in or around the roots. Pediatric dentists specialize in children’s overall oral health and development. They often ensure teeth are coming in properly, encourage proper care for the mouth, and perform annual cleanings and exams. Several months ago, we highlighted Dr.

Juliana Iral, our pediatric dentist, who takes delight in talking with our younger patients and supports them in their pursuit of a healthy smile.

Gums are as equally important as teeth, which is why periodontists are so essential. A periodontist ensures the health of the gums; diagnoses problems; prevents health issues from arising; and treats any diseases that may occur, such as gingivitis. Being a multispecialist means your entire family can come to one location for all their dental needs. All aspects of your dental appointment can now be done in one place, saving time, stress, and scheduling. Now, our patients can schedule their own cleanings and their kids’ examinations simultaneously.
