Still going strong at Errigal Throughout 2016 we have exceeded our targets and goals and with the successful delivery of our training programme, the future looks bright.

We continue to have an excellent Health & Safety record, something we are very proud of.

20 Years of Errigal

Health & Safety Update With over 1.5 million man hours worked accident free in 2016 we continue to achieve high standards for Health and Safety. We are proud of our commitment to Health & Safety across all the projects we are involved in.

All our site managers are SMSTS qualified and first aid trained as standard. With over 850 operatives currently active, our 80 plus strong management team help contribute to strong working practice on all our sites.

Our Health & Safety Department has also benefited by the addition of two new Health & Safety staff.

Our group team at Schiphol Rijk who were awarded safety Sub Contractor of the year in October.

Awards 2016

We were nominated for several awards throughout the year. At The Fi t Out Awards 2016 i n Dublin we won Sub-Contractor of the year award. InAugust the Errigal team also attended The FIS Awards 2016 in London where our Facades team took home the Gold Award for The Angel Lane Student Accommodation Development in Stratford, London.

Errigal: ‘Training is Our Future’

Our first two groups of 16 have now completed their training at our academy and we will continue to grow our training facility in 2017. Well done to all involved. There are currently 48 trainees on site in the UK and Ireland. We are well on our way to achieving our target of training 200 operatives by December 2018.

‘A first for the Drywall Industry in the UK and Ireland’

In conjunction with South West College, Enniskillen we commenced our 2 year Drywall apprenticeship in October. We now have 34 apprentices in full time employment while they complete their training with Errigal Contracts. In 2017, a further 64 will start their apprenticeship. “This apprenticeship is particularly attractive for prospective students because of the partnership wi th Err igal Cont racts. Er ri gal i s a l ocal company with a global reach, and apprentices can expect to work on major projects across a wide range of locations.” - Ciaran McManus , South West College, Enniskillen.

Errigal continues to conquer Europe

During 2016, we completed 12 projects in Mainland Europe with an average of 120 operatives on the ground across 4 countries. 2017 already looks set to surpass this with new projects lined up in 8 cities as well as 3 more countries added to our European portfolio.
