FL Welcome Packet

Welcome Packet

F l or i da 2019 – 2020

Greetings! I want to welcome each of you to the Word of Life Bible Institute Florida Campus. You’re about to embark on one of the greatest journeys of your life as you begin your yearlong study in God’s Word. It’s hard to describe what will take place over the next year, but I promise you we will do everything we can to make sure your time here is well spent. We want your classroom experience to be without distraction. We want the time you spend on campus interacting with other students, staff and guests to be exceptional, and we want the time you spend on ministry to be eye-opening and transforming. As an academic institution, our staff will work hard to provide a first-class education for you. Our goal is to help every student get as much as they can from their time here. That means going the extra mile to ensure all your questions are answered and we’re communicating with you on a regular basis. With over 50 years of combined teaching experience, our resident professors will not only be teaching you from the platform but will also be ready to spend time with you outside of the classroom. We recognize the friendships you make here will last a lifetime, so that’s why Student Life is so important to us. Our “family type” atmosphere is by design, and our prayer is that in the laughter, the tears, the good times and the bad you will form the type of friendships that sharpen each other and encourage each other in your walk with Christ. We believe it’s important to take what you’re learning in the classroom and to apply it in real life. That’s why every student is assigned to a ministry team. We want you to be able to share your faith with those who don’t know Jesus and to challenge those who do to go deeper in their walk with Him. Whether it’s on a beach, in a classroom or standing in an NBA basketball arena, our Ministries Department will put you in places where you can share with others what God has been teaching you.

So…here we go! Class of 2020, we’re praying God does BIG things in and through you during your time here at the Word of Life Bible Institute.

Final Official Transcript Notice Florida Campus 2019-2020

You are receiving this notice because the Admissions Office has not received your final official transcript from either your high school or homeschool organization. It is critical that we receive your final official transcript in the mail before Registration which is Friday, August 30, 2019. Most students submit either a non-graduate transcript or a final unofficial transcript for acceptance. Non-graduate transcripts do not have a student’s complete 9th-12th final grades. A final unofficial transcript means it does consist of a student’s 9th-12th final grades, but it does not contain an ink signature or a raised school seal. If you submitted college transcripts for acceptance, we will need to receive your final official high school or homeschool transcripts to be enrolled as a student. These are the specific items that need to be on the final official transcript for high school and homeschool organizations: • There needs to be a final grade point average (GPA) or a grading scale if a GPA is not listed. • Graduation Date • An ink signature or a raised seal from the school or organization • If you are homeschooled, we need to receive your Homeschool Verification Form with an ink signature.

Your transcripts are tied into your financial aid so it is critical we receive your transcripts as soon as possible!

Please have your transcripts mailed to the following address: Word of Life Bible Institute

Admissions Department 13001 Word of Life Dr. Hudson, FL 34669 If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Department at: 727.279.5027 [email protected] Or contact your Admissions Counselor directly
