CCL To Buy Innovia For $842 million Canadian label and packaging maker CCL Industries Inc. said it would buy Innovia Group for around C$1.13 billion ($842 million). CCL’s pro-forma annual sales are forecast to exceed C$5 billion after the deal, expected by the end of first quarter of 2017, the company said. Avery Dennison Buys Hanita Coatings Avery Dennison Corporation has agreed to acquire Hanita Coatings, a pressure sensitive materials manu- facturer of specialty films and lami- nates, from Kibbutz Hanita Coatings and Tene Investment Funds for the purchase price of $75 million, sub- ject to customary adjustments. Headquartered in Israel, with sales and distribution facilities in the Unit- ed States, Germany, China and Aus- tralia, Hanita Coatings develops and manufactures coated, laminated, and metalized polyester films for a range of industrial and commercial appli- cations, all of which require high performance and excellent quality.

WS Packaging Invests In Mark Andy Digital Press WS Packaging, a pressure-sensitive label converter with 17 facilities throughout North America, has pur- chased its second Mark Andy Digital Series hybrid so- lution. The new press, custom configured to fit the company’s prime label production requirements, will augment the business growth resulting from their original Digital Series investment, which has been running full production since December 2015. The new press will be installed before year-end in the company’s Dallas,Texas, facility.
