THE BEST OUTDOOR DINING IN NORTH CAROLINA HAVE YOU TRIED MY FAVORITE SPOTS?
Can I tell you a secret? I hope you said yes, because here it is: My wife and I both hate cooking.
egg, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, and mayonnaise on top. Yum.
It’s true! Even though we love to eat and we spend a lot of time in the kitchen feeding the triplets, Jen and I would always rather go out than make a meal at home. Fortunately, we get to do it a lot, even though the
COPPER — My wife Jen really likes Indian food, so when she picks our date night meal, we usually end up eating inside at Copper in Charlotte. It’s a nice little restaurant tucked into an old house. The vibe is intimate and romantic, and you
kids limit our options. It’s a great way for me to relax after a long day of working on personal injury and employment law cases. We’ve spent the last few months dining out on all of our favorite patios on date nights and as a family. So I thought,

can get all of the classic Indian dishes like murgh tikka masala, goan prawn curry, crab mappas, and more. They have a pretty big vegetarian menu, too.
DRESSLER’S RESTAURANT — When we have a really special occasion to celebrate, we like to splurge on Dressler’s Restaurant in Birkdale Village. It’s a fancy steak and seafood place that’s pretty expensive, but the flavor is worth the price! I’m not a huge pork chop eater, but the last time we went, they had a thick-cut pork chop on the menu I’m still thinking about. LAKE NORMAN BREWERY — Lakeside restaurants like Port City Club and Hello Sailor are local favorites, but for Jen and me, not even a water view beats the laid-back vibe of a brewery. This one in Denver has a great outdoor space, and you can find a food truck parked on site almost every night. That Won Truck (Asian food), Taqueria Martinez Taco, Mister Greek Food Truck, and Bodega Food Wagon are just a few of the trucks we’ve seen there so far. THE OLDE MECKLENBURG BREWERY — As much as I love Lake Norman, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery tops our brewery list. It’s the biggest craft brewery and beer garden in Charlotte and has a huge outdoor area with a playground for the kids. They love running around while we snack on sausages, soft pretzels, and sandwiches. Did I miss one of your favorite restaurants on my list? I’d love to hear about it. Text your recommendations to me at 704-286-1511. You might just save our next dinner.
why not share those spots with you? I’ve included a few of my favorite places to eat outdoors (and also snuck in a few indoor options since it’s getting hot outside). I hope you check them out! BRIXX WOOD FIRED PIZZA + CRAFT BAR — Birkdale Village in Huntersville is our go-to destination when we have the triplets with us, and you can almost always find us eating at Brixx. They have plenty of outdoor seating on the patio so the trips can run around and get noisy without disturbing other diners too much. Plus, they have great pizza, including everything from quattro formaggi to buffalo chicken. INIZIO PIZZA NAPOLETANA — Yes, another pizza spot! This one has a nice little courtyard for the triplets to explore while we wait on our order. In addition to the Neapolitan-style pizzas they offer the diavola (a spicy salami and pepper pie) and capricciosa (an artichoke, mozzarella, prosciutto, and mushroom pie), they also have awesome gelato. You can’t go wrong with pizza and ice cream. CRAFTY BURG’R N’ TAP — This burger spot isn’t too far from our house, and we can usually snag a seat on the patio. Pizza and burgers are crowd-pleasers when we have the kids with us. CRAFTY BURG’R n’ Tap grinds their beef and bakes their buns every day for burgers like the Good Egg, which has a fried

GRACE JAMAICAN JERK FESTIVAL (NEW YORK) July 31; JerkFestivalNY.com
PIEROGI FEST (INDIANA) July 29–31; PierogiFest.net
Yes, New York City is home to fantastic pizza and bagels, but it’s also a Caribbean food hub! At this festival, visitors can stuff themselves with jerk chicken, enjoy whole fish, and drink icies straight from hollowed-out pineapples. Six celebrity chefs will make appearances this year to compete in food contests and show off their Jamaican roots and/or dishes. When attendees aren’t eating, they can relax at a musical or cultural performance.
The Polish pierogi is a humble food: mashed potatoes and cheese wrapped in soft dough and either fried, baked, or grilled to perfection. But simplicity should be celebrated! In Whiting, Indiana, Pierogi Fest is a three-day affair that brings in more than 300,000 people for events like a Polka Parade, a pierogi toss, and, of course, pierogies stuffed with

THE PERKS OF VIRTUAL CASE MANAGEMENT
When we say 100%, we really mean it. You can do everything from your initial consultation to receive your settlement virtually. Depending on the type of case you have and what you’re comfortable with, you can connect with our team through phone calls, emails, texts, or Zoom meetings. Of course, you can come in and meet us face-to-face, too! But it’s not a requirement. If you’re working with us now, you can take your cause virtual if needed. Any friends or family you refer to us for a personal injury case, an employment law matter, or even basic estate planning will have the option of scheduling meetings in person or from the comfort of their home. We offer this option because we know just how busy life can get and how convenient virtual services can be. As you know, our founder, Michael Harman, has triplets — it was a lifesaver for him and Jen when they could buy their house through a mortgage company that handled everything remotely! We want to pass that convenience on to our clients. If you want to learn more about virtual case management and whether it’s a good fit for you or your friend/family member in legal trouble, give us a call or send a message through our website, HarmanLawNC.com.
These days, we can do pretty much everything from home: order groceries, get dinner delivered, and even buy cars and furniture. So, why do so many law firms still require their clients to come in and sit in an office? Here at Harman Law, we know you may not have the time, money, or resources to visit us in person — so we offer 100% virtual case management. We’ll handle cases for our clients online and over the phone from start to finish. Working with us, you’ll never have to leave home or miss an hour of work to attend a meeting.

HOW TO GET JUSTICE AFTER A TRUCKING ACCIDENT YOU NEED EXPERIENCE ON YOUR SIDE! Every 15 minutes, a semi-truck is involved in an accident that leads to a death or severe injury. That statistic touched our community here in North Carolina this winter. You might remember waking up to the news on Feb. 2 of a crash on US Route 13 near NC37 in Gates County. A tractor trailer was headed south that morning when it smashed into a northbound car in the dark. A 41-year-old man named Michael Faulk died in the collision. Sadly, Michael is not alone. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, big trucks account for nearly half of all injuries and fatalities in occupational accidents. Hundreds of runaway trucks slam into cars every year, obliterating everything they encounter. Sometimes these accidents happen because the truck driver was speeding. But exhaustion, distracted driving, intoxication, and faulty brakes can also be to blame. The one thing these crashes almost always have in common is the devastation they cause and the broken families they leave behind. If you or someone you know is injured in a commercial trucking accident, you shouldn’t just call the first personal injury lawyer who comes up on Google. Trucking cases are nuanced and can quickly get complicated when multiple companies and insurance policies are involved. To get the justice you deserve, you need an experienced truck accident attorney — and you can find one on our team at Harman Law. We’ve been handling commercial trucking accident cases for years and can quickly determine whether the accident in question was caused by a commercial vehicle (like a big rig, van, or truck towing a trailer) and which steps you should take to get the compensation you deserve.

THEY CAN’T WHAT? 5 Strange Things That Are Banned in the World of Professional Sports
In the world of sports, just like in life, players have rules and regulations they must abide by, or they’re out! But just because they’re enforced doesn’t mean some rules make complete sense. Check out these five strange
media, some may view this as harsh, and others as appropriate, but either way, it may help reduce some fines from unruly posts!
THE NFL NO BALL SPINNING RULE In the NFL, football spinning as a celebratory action is banned. If a player does spin the football, they will be penalized. In previous seasons, players would spin or twirl the ball in the end zone — but, some took offense to it. THE FIFA STAY COVERED RULE In 2003, it was ruled that all FIFA players must keep their shirts on and no celebratory stripping was allowed. This had to do, in part, with the act appearing offensive to some, but even more so, advertisers were upset that their logos were not displayed on the shirtless athletes’ bodies. It makes sense, but only a little bit! THE NBA NO LOGOS RULE In the NBA, players can only display logos on their basketball shoes. According to item 5 of Section H in their handbook, the only area where they are able to show logos on their bodies, or as part of the uniform, is on their shoes.
rules that ban seemingly normal activities in the world of sports, some without any explanation at all!
THE NHL TUCK RULE Having been in effect since 2013, Rule 9.5 governs uniforms and how they must be worn in the
NHL. All protective equipment, except gloves, headgear, and goaltenders’ leg guards, must be worn under the uniform. The rule states that “players are not permitted to tuck their jersey into their pants in such a manner where the top padding of the pant … is exposed outside the jersey.”
Go figure! If players tuck their jerseys in, they’ll receive a penalty.
THE NBA SOCIAL MEDIA RULE Players in the NBA cannot use social media platforms during the game and 45 minutes before and after their games. In a world driven by social
