(continued from outside) There are several different ways that a prosthesis can make your life easier. Perhaps the first and foremost benefit is decreased physical stress on your body. A prosthesis will work to improve your balance and body symmetry, so it is easier for you to stand on two feet without feeling uneasy. As a result of your improved balance and body symmetry, there will also be decreased stress put on your sound leg, leading to less wear and tear on that extremity. A prosthesis will allow weight to evenly distribute throughout your body, so there will be less impact on your hip, ankle, and knee joints. Additionally, a prosthetic device can also lead to increased physical activity! With evenly distributed body weight, your prosthesis can actually help keep your heart pumping naturally during exercise. Therefore, by staying in motion without feeling unsteady or easily fatigued, you will be able to maintain a healthy heart! Most importantly, a prosthetic device can help you reclaim your life. With the many benefits that your new prosthetic device will bring you, perhaps the most important is giving you your life back. With

3 NATURAL WAYS TO BEAT SPRING ALLERGIES
1. Limit your time outdoors. Each spring, trees release billions of tiny pollen grains into the air. When you breathe them into your nose and lungs, they can trigger an allergic reaction. Staying inside can help, especially on windy days and during the early morning hours, when pollen counts are highest. 2. Tweak your home. Simple changesmake a difference. Shut all windows to keep out pollen. Use an air conditioner to cool your home instead of a fan, which draws in air from outside. Take off your shoes at the door and ask guests to do the same. That
keeps allergens outside. Finally, don’t allow guests, or yourself, to smoke inside the home. It canmake allergy symptoms worse. If you or someone you live with smokes, now is a good time to quit. 3. Keep it clean! Be sure to wash all surfaces regularly with single-wipe dust rags (if using cleaning rags, be sure to wash them in hot water after each use). If you find mold, use water and detergent to clean, then let it air-dry completely. Finally, wash all bedding once a week in hot water and dry in a hot dryer.
